File Transfer Protocol. It's how people upload stuff so everyone else can see.
I think businesses are catching onto the idea that bandwidth costs money and the little bit of advertising they sell can't cover costs. With that, I haven't seen many lately. |

This site will allow you to search for free web-hosting with a variety of options to help narrow down your search. They have an option to only search for sites that support FTP.. |

I did a quick little search on the above site and found 20 sites with FTP, over 10mb of space, subdomain, and of course, free.
