Hey there all.
I have a weird little problem that maybe no one can answer but I'll try anyway.
I have a US GCN and PSO but I live in Japan and go through J-COM (cable internet provider BB).
Now I've sopken with Japanese people here who use the same company and they don't seem to have a problem.
I keep getting the error 015 (can't get IP address from DHCP) when I try to log on.
Uggh... I just bought my keyboard and modem today.
Oh well maybe I'll just have to get the Japanese version of PSO. But I don't think that'd make a difference.

Oh well any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It's definitely your network settings. All PSO versions (country, not V1/V2!) are the same everywhere so it isn't that. Have you tried leaving the settings on automatic? I did that when I thought I had no idea about what details it was asking me for and I got it done.

Wow thanks for the help.
As far as hardware goes I have an internet connection through my cable company so I have a modem which comes out of my cable box which I then plug a little LAN cord into. My provider gives me a global IP. However whenever I attempt to connect I get good ol' message #015 which states that the DHCP didn't give any IP information and that it might be down or out of service (which it obviously isn"t).

Any ideas, all would be appreciated.

Thanks again in

How is your Gamecube broadband adaptor connected to the internet? Is it plugged straight into your cable modem or into your PC?

I unplug the modem from my computer and then straight into my GC BBA and even turn it off before I connect it to the GC. SO there is a line going straight from the GC to the Cable modem (and from the modem to my cable box).

Thanks again for your help
