Why do we duplicate our items???? Why do we need two of them??? We can only equip on weapon at a a time...
Is it for Money???? Most rares are only 10 meseta...

so you don't lose weapons when you trade them, so u have a backup when u fsod, to give copies to your friends, to back up on another memory card in case of corruption, to be ultra strong when it comes to mats, grinders, well, they're obvious, to get lots of %'s with p spheres and to get things with p drops, there's an endless amount of reasons.

If I could do an offline dupe methoid I'd just end up making the weapons I've gotten and passing them to all my characters so that way my one flowens sword doesn't need to change three different hands before I can start play for the day.

umm.. cough.. cough.. there is a way to offline dupe. but lets not get into that... your still stuck with flowens swords? just wait til you find a last survivor.. or dragon slayer.. or chain sawd..

an edited note, doing that offline dupe such thing results in a 50/50 chance of corruption of your mem card.

Duping is a way to cheat on corruption and that damn FSOD...u hav back-ups. Sure if u corrupt, u lose ur char and items, but thats why u hav em on a spare char on a spare memory card. And if u FSOD (as I hav over 15 times) u hav a copy of whatever u lost that u didnt hav equiped (even though that doesnt apply 2 me, as i can now never FSOD cuz i hav figured out a way to cheat it, but i wont go there until another time). Another reason 4 dupe is so u can get all the items. How if ur only copying? Ill tell u. If ur playin online and u see a wep or item u dont hav, u ask that person if they will allow u to dupe it. U get to keep the copy of that wep or item, and they get to keep theres as well. U never hav to lose another rare again. Face it though, probably 1/2 of the ppl playin PSO r dupers or are able to dupe, so it may be a good idea to just not worry about it, let it be. Heck, if u wanna, learn to dupe urself, it can be a very profitable business. OMFG, I just spent 10 mins writin that...I hav got to stop gettin into my replies......

i agree half heartedly, there is only 1 and one reason at all, duping shall ever be tolerated.

backups to save you from corruption.

anything else is purely lame cheating such as duping mats to give your character, giving out dupes, or duping to benifit your other characters.

if you dupe to backup only, since most of us may know how much corruption sucks. your fairly considered legit by me. since hell. its ST's fault they left the corruption problem, if they wont fix it, we will. and we have the right to do that.

theres no point in wasting 1000's of hours in 'any' game if one little problem the programers left destorys it all.

If I need four God/Abilitys(possible...), I just need to trade one.
And for backups, and some dupe(like I did) to get all they want.
They just dupe everything before they trade.
I still do that but it's just that i never trade =D.

Ok, there've been a nice amount of reasons why we dupe but I have another question. Why would you rather be legit than dupe? I've counted around 10 good reasons in this topic why we dupe and there are many more reasons, so let's hear some reasons to be legit. and please make your reasons reasons that don't involve cheater bashing or u will be flaming and hopefully receive a warning or be banned.

I am a duper, so I won't be able to list the reasons that people will only play legit, but I have a single character that I am playing legit, so I will share my views on why I made a legit character.

One reason to be legit is if you get bored with duping. After a while, if you make the game too easy for yourself, making the game challenging again can be a way to refresh the game for you. Of course, you could just play Cmode; but I will only do Cmode with friends who are willing to learn with me, and sometimes not everyone on our team is available for the next stage. Also, it's kinda fun to have a legit character, who will be looking for items again. The weapons she finds she will most likely use, unlike my unlegit chars, who use what I have put in the bank for them.

I encourage everyone to have legit and non-legit characters before shooting off their mouth about how much one side or the other sucks.
