...are those of the highest class (yellow) with the highest element (eg. Demon). These will have yellow names with 9 stars as well, but in lower case instead of full caps.

Well, at least I see much less of my Demon Gladius than those common LAVIS CANNON

Thoughts on this?

It is true that the 9-star regular weapons(5-star weapon with a 4-star element, like a Blizzard Vulcan) are much less common than the standard rare weapons, and in most cases they are better. I would give just about anything for a Laser or Arms with the Gush, Hell, or Arrest elements.

Actually, I say screw most of the rare rares... I collect 9 star weapons ^_^
So far I've gotten a
Geist Gungnir, King's Gungnir, Berserk Gungnir (I like Partisans ^_^)
Burning Calibur, and a Tempest Vulcan
Very fun to use, and since they can't be told apart from normal weapons, you really don't have to worry about playing in a game with a theif, cause he's not gonna know it's a rare weapon

Right on. There are weapons that are more rare than ??SPECIALWEAPONs, even though they may be regarded as normal. I've haven't seen any "Demon" weapons. I've seen most of everything thing else.

I plan on collecting some of these rare weapons. Besides, you can pack those weapons with so much more grinders than the SPECIAL weapons. You can have a Delsaber Buster +9, but you can also have a Devil's Gladius +50. (I think that's how much you can grind a Gladius).

Yes, SPECIAL weapons are rare to find, but that's what they are special... special denotion, special ability, etc. The real rares are the King's, Demon's, etc. They are more rare than most common SPECIALs.

I love these 9 stars too. Special weapons are soooo boring to pick up nowadays ;P I only collect Gunghirs(Demon/Devil/Tempest), Diskas(Havoc is funny) and Caliburs.

Ps: Ukyo, I would die to trade you for your Tempest Vulcan(which I have been playing 400++ hrs and still no sign of) or better still do you have a Hell/Blizzard/Charge Diska? If not any good gatlings? ;P

yeah i agree, i use my King's gladius more than any of my rares lol, its a really nice weapon, and i agree S-beats are rare, so are devil/battle and devil/teck, but i think that is because most ppl dont know they are only in hard dificulty. once ppl hit lvl 40 they always goto vhard lol

I had a Hell gladius one time and it really helped me when i first started out on v hard. It can kill enemies rather quickly. Once i found s beat i think i sold it since i thought that it had the same purpose. Guess i should have kept it then...
