1. Is there any reason to give a character an Evade Mat?

2. I have a Viridia FOnewearl who I am only going to use to get to Ult and try to find some items with. Would it be a big deal to give her like 130-140 Mind mats? I'll never get close to L200 anyway so i am not worrying about maxing stats.

1. Yes. When you're getting to 200, you should give your character Evade Materials. If you don't, and you don't max, it'll haunt you forever. Newmans are exempt to this, though, as they cannot max all their stats.

2. Sure, give her all the Mind Materials she can stomach. Since you're not getting to 200 or even close, make her as powerful as you can for where you will be taking her.

You do know that you only get 150 materials with her right? You should base material usage on your mags stats.Use materials for what you need most. With a FOnewearl, you should use mostly mind then defense, and maybe some evade. Don't use luck or power mats though. Don't bother with evade mats if you dont plan on reaching a decent level. I used about 35 evade mats and my lvl.124 FOnewearl has 950 evasion so she can block reliably in ulti forest caves. It's pretty helpful. You should use defense mats because FOnewearls have very low defense and it takes a long time to get decent defense. My FOnewearl's mag is
30/0/0/170, and I use a God/Body. Plus I used about 25 defense mats. She still has crappy defense but she survives in Ultimate Seabed(somehow... oh yeah, hp mats, god hp, and megid).

If you don't plan to go above lvl.100, I suggest you use 100 mind mats and 50 defense mats.

fonewearls are useless for anything besides casting.. so 150 mind mats for her. everything else can the mag handle.

for evade... well, evade is nice, but you cant count on it. for a round up chara (esp. when you attempt to reach 200 ever), count it in. if you want to set all your chance into def instead, fine as well.
