What game has affected you the most? Perhaps moves you still when you hear its music?

For me its Shenmue 1, with UO in a close second. Even though I only played it once through, no game has ever left such a lasting impression on me. I thought the story and sense of a journey was superb, I loved the music - the fighting, the collecting... everything.

You?

3 way tie:

Skies of Arcadia, Halo, and KOTOR.

Skies and KOTOR have sweet music, interesting combat, funny jokes, cool spells (force powers), and an annoying amount of encounters.

Halo is, well, Halo.

Starcraft follows under these.

Grandia II on the DC. Really enjoyed the music and the gameplay, finding stuff, and the overall plotshifts.

It was actually the first true RPG I really got into, which led me to buy Skies of Arcadia for the DC and comes in at second, hands down.

Look, he did it again.

Having sex with Denise Richards.

OH GAMES! I thought you said sex! My bad!

Anyway, probably when you have to kill Lance in Vice City, Omaha Beach in MOH:AA, or the fight with Metroid Prime.

1.)Silent Hill 2
why? It was the first game to make me feel like complete shit while playing it. The ending options were awesome (including the UFO ending), and the graphics had a serious effect on my Art style as a game programmer.

2.) Skies of Arcadia/Skies of Arcadia Legends
Legends gave me a reason to hate Piastol. After a relentless beating of about 28 times, I finally conqured her! Yeah! Now I only have to do it 5 more times....

3.) Ikaruga
Beautiful art, awesome music, and fast paced. I train all those who are new to Video Gaming, but have good reflexes on this game.

She's a summer love in the spring, fall and winter

My eyes teared up when Shadow died in Sonic Adventure 2. Pathetic, yes but it was quite sad.

"He was one brave and heroic hedgehog."....

Actually, I think I showed more emotion when I found my first Hallorappy, or when I unlocked the special level in SA2.

my favorite moments

1. Soul Caliber 2
beating Inferno with Charade

2. Kingdom Hearts
seeing Sephiroth in the Colliseum scared the crap out of me

3. Lunar: Silver Star Story
Hearing that Laike was actually Dyne.
The way Alex saved Luna/Altena.

4. Star Fox 64
When you beat real Andross Fox thinks he'll die but his dad leads him out.

5. Phantasy Star Online ep1
those depressing quests!!

Simple. Catching Rayquaza on Pokemon Sapphire with an Ultra Ball. (and a dozen tries)

And Charade either has a red eye or purple. I prefer red, more boney.

Perfect Dark. I love that game...my friends and i played that game for 3 years without getting bored of it. (for me that's a long time...the only game that comes second is Resident Evil, and that was only a year). The original Smash Bros was an incredible game too.
