Is there any way to alter weapons other than through grinders?
I've seen a few references to "teched" weapons, but have absolutely no idea what that means.
I've tried refusing my Tecker's assessment of some unknown weapons, but that makes for very little difference, usually resulting in only minor changes in the % on the weapon.

Tekking is only having it identified at the tekker.
%s can go +/- 10 from the origional. Also, if it is a non-rare weapon, the grind can be changed each tekk by +/- 4.
Edit: You can use an online quest to add %s to your weapons.

Also for teching you can change its ability. Like say you got a shawdow laser. If you have enough patience you could turn it into a hell laser by saying no and teching it.
