I know most of you are probably tired of hearing about people's good fortune when it comes to finding rares, including me. It's this very reason I'm posting, because I haven't found a rare with any of my characters in over 3 months. My level 127 HUmar has been needing some new armor, and upon looking through item findings, I discovered an easy way to get Standstill Shield. My RAmar happens to be a Viridia, an ID that can find this shield from Mil Lily's in Ultimate Temple.

Well, in the end I found this amazing armor, but it was tiring and ugly, to say the least. I'm not a very patient guy, so spending 3 hours looking at those god-d*** Ob lilys with their stupid grins doesn't go well. Plus, I had a migraine headache to along with it. What irony that I found my best rare ever in what seemed like the worst situation to find it.

Well, considering no one has posted yet, I guess there needs to be a point to this topic. Basically I have been wondering if anyone else has been in a crappy situation when looking for a rare and yet they found what they were looking for, whether it be luck or in my case, pure irony.

Piping in general is an arduous task, unless you get VERY lucky. It's really nothing new. Anyone who has piped for something before feels the same way as you.

I recently piped for a Standstill Shield too. All of my Mil Lilys came reletivly quickly tho. The first one came in about 15 minutes. But since i was on the PC chatting and stuff, it killed me (With no Scape Dolls) That was frustrating. 2nd one came with another 15 minutes. Dropped junk. 3rd came in like an hour if i remember right. Again nothing. Another 15 minutes of piping FINALLY gave me my Standstill Shield. 0/3 and technically 0/4 was kinda frustrating, considering the drop rate is supposedly 1/2. Oh well, at least i got the damn thing...

while i agree there did need to be a point, you should wait more than 20 mins for someone to post

... working so hard to get an item, why not just do cave runs and have the chance of finding a rare along with getting EXP. If you don't your just going to add more time to your total game play hours and not gain any levels. I don't have an extremely good character, but it's because I have multiple characters I want to stay pretty close together with (mostly FOmar and RAmarl)
