Just double-checking my theory. I know that EVP is what allows you to block, but a character with really high DFP (preferably an android or a FO using Deband/Jellen lvl.30) you can block too. If an enemy inflicts 0 damage apon the character it shows the shielded animation right? Because my FOmar on Ult Forest can use Jellen and Deband lvl.30 while wearing some Metal/Bodies and 0 damage can be inflicted apon him. And it shows his shielded animation. But, if I don't use D/J, they do a near 100 damage. Is my theory accurate or am I missing something?

DEF is when you block and get pushes back.
EVD is when you block and don't get pushes back at all. Cuz you evaded the attack.

Exactly.

Think of it this way... When you get hit and take damage, you get pushed back. If your DFP is high enough, you reduce and eventually eliminate the damage (the armor is absorbing the shock, so to speak). However, since you're still getting hit, you still get pushed back. EVP allows you to evade an attack. Or rather in the case of PSO it's actually block an attack. If your EVP is high enough versus the enemy's ATA, you'll stand your ground, throw up your arm, and use your shield to block the attack. What's confusing is that if you take a hit and have enough DFP to take no damage, you'll also see the block animation. That's where being pushed back tells you which one is actually happening. Also remember that these only apply to physical attacks. Magical/elemental and set-damage attacks are unblockable and do not push you back.

yeah I started figuring out the diff. between phsical attacks and other attacks when Gilchich's starting doing a shiz load when they shot me... poor FOmar. That's when D/J didn't save me at all.

Well I have another question, does Jellen lower the enemies ATA? Cause a bartle CANNOT hit me when I use it. I don't mean maybe he'll hit me... he WON'T hit me. I'll block every time. EVERY TIME! I stood there and left the room to make some dinner, came back, no damage, still blocking. What's up with that?

I tend to think it does. But then I think there is a way to prove it. Go get yourself stabbed by a ... Hidoom? Migium? (ya know, I forgot, but I think it is the Migium that jellen you) and you can verify that.

OR! Maybe you are blocking but instead of evading them, you are defending because their ATP was lowered?

Probably blocking because their ATP was lowered.

THat's what I thought too... and Hidoom is the beech, Migium is useless. (seeing i'm always being S/D at lvl.30, her J doesn't work on me) I call Migium the female... cause she's got the status-effect attack (an MST thing... which females are well-known for!) and she's purple! (not saying purple is girly color, my FOmar is in the purple costume #1 with hair style #8 dark-purple hair.)

Well, for the sake of this test you might have to get rid of the SDJZ for the scientific progress. Tee hee.

You don't have a FOmar, you have a FOmarl!
*runs away*

Seriously, next time I see a Pan Arms I'm gonna try this out.
