It says to press "Y", but that simply opens my virtual keyboad. Is there some sign that I've done it correctly? I've tried and tried and tried, but seemingly to no avail. I'm presuming it's supposed to be done before the screen changes to whatever animal or creature your PB is. So that means as soon as you hear that "ding-like" sound (I think you see the floor light up underneath the player too, no?)

If the screen freezes, youve hit the Y button too late. You have to hit it while they are doing the little animation of calling it, when there is a little ring around the feet of their character before the screen freezes for the Photon Blast to come out. You can hit Y up to 3 times, and to know you did it right, you will see a little stream of particles looking things go from your health indicator in the top left corner to the person who is doing their mag blast's health indicator. And your PB will go down by 10 each time you hit Y.

On another note, doing this will boost the power of the blast significantly. You can also use your Photon Blast at the same time they do(as long as you don't use the same blast) and boost both of them even more. This is how the 4 combo S/D is created that rocks so much. Four people get their PB up to 100 and do different blasts at the same time, with one of them being the twins.

On another note, if you donate any PB you will also get the S/D bonus (assuming the PB blast(s) includes the Twins). If you don't donate, you won't.

If the virtual keyboard pops up, then that's a sign you've not done it correctly.
When you do it right, it will cost 10 pb per press, so look for that happening.

Some finer notes: When you can donate some PB, the icon for the Y button on your palette will change. Donating PB doesn't influence the power of the PBs, that you are donating to, all that much. I believe that amount you donate is equal to adding that much to the mag's synchro, which doesn't influence the power of the PB too much.

Damn you Sounomi! I wanted to bring that up!
*runs away crying*

In all honesty, donating to a PB blast is good for two reasons:
1) You get twins if there is a twins blast. Awesome if you're an android.
2) You get experience for every enemy that is killed. 100% if I'm correct too, not 80%.

I've noticed a lot of the time, though, that most people would just waste the other PB's to just get the Shifta/Deband boost from the Twins. (like using it outside the room or before we even enter). The S/D boost is good, no doubt, but it is not the only blast there is.

I'd say it's the best though. Who needs to deal damage to multiple opponents around you or in a straight linear line in front of you when you have weapons to do so.
S/D is excellent for Androids. I only use Pilla to clear te Mothmants leaving the Mothvist open to die. I hate those stingers...

Yeah Donating doesn't boost the Power significantly, but doing a Combo does.
