Out of the three consoles, which control pad(the official ones, that is)do you feel most comfortable with: the PS2, Gamecube or the X-Box?
I prefer the Gamecube pads, because I feel that they are a bit more easier to handle than the other pads.
I hope that this topic doesn't become into one of those flaming console war topics as that is not my intention.

I would probably say Gamecube's, but that might be because I own the system. But I remember loving the Playstation controllers, the way I hold them though made the analog ones a bit uncomfortable for a while. I might say they're tied.

They are all the same to me, but I'll just say Xbox's controller-S.

x-box controller S. the old chunky assed ones where a little too big for my small lady-like fingers. though i must admit it mainly gets my vote because i find it the best pad for dealing with fps. that and the fact it feels a lot more 'solid' than a ps2 or cube pad. like an new, heavier version of the dreamcast pad, as my buddy big dave said.
that said, the gamecube pad is quite good, if a little too 'cluttered' if u get my meaning. Not good for fighting games in my humble opinion.
gotta say i hate the playstation pad in all its shapes and forms. when i was deliberating getting a ps2, the controller was what stopped me. the ackwardness of the anolgue pads really pisses me off.
overall best pad in history? split between xbox pad (S - wiggles girly fingers) and the n64 pad.
PEACE!!!

I like gamecube ones. Its easy to press all the buttons It's way to hard to find all buttons on ps2 and whats with the shapes? I can really hold or press the x bow ones

Well my vote goes to Gamecube's, only because I have not tried the other controllers.

The way I see it, the Playstation 2 pad is good for pretty much every game you can play on it. Why? Because it's set up simply, and can be used for many different things. Good, but not great.
The Gamecube controller, on the other hand, is weird for some games. I haven't played Capcom vs. SNK yet, but I imagine it would be very difficult to play with on that controller. (However, I can't play Soul Calibur II with any other controller. I personally think it's the best one for that game.) In other words, plenty of third-party games are made with a PS2 controller in mind, and when ported over, makes the GCN controller a little wonky. With that said, I think the GCN controller is pure genius if the developer makes a game with it in mind. Every game I can think of that was made specifically for a GCN controller works like a charm. Good to bad on some 3rd party titles, and great on first party.
I, uh... I rarely even see an X-Box. I guess the Controller S is nice, but I can't stand the placement of the Start and Back buttons. In my mind, it is the single most idiotic thing Microsoft has done in the video game market. Why would you ever put those buttons there!? I personally think I would like the big original one, simply because I have gigantic hands. But again, I hardly ever play the 'Box, so don't take my word as law or anything.

as a fighting fan, i like ps2's c-pad..
multi-button, stronger-looking, & seems more suitable for abuse..
gc's c-pad looks a bit tamed for fighting games.. but is quite ok w/other type of games
no comment on xb's c-pad.. ain't got 1
 Blink & you'd miss it! ;3

I have all the systems, and I have to say the most comfortable controllers to use out of all of them are the standard X-box controller and the Controller-S.
The standard and C-S are perfect, everything is within reach, and they fit well in your hands. Both are great for fps, and the Controller-S is great for about any game. Expecially nice for my brother after his accident, since he can't stretch his fingers out far enough to get them around the standard controller.
He's been kicking ass on CS for the last month and it's really only because of the Controller-S.
The PS2 controller is ok, but sometimes I have to double-think what button I'm hitting when I'm getting into fast action gameplay.
The Gamecube Wavebird is way better than the standard when it comes to how it fits in your hand. Really can't stand the standard GC controller, just too small.

See, this is one comment I've never understood. The GC controller and the PS2 are almost exactly the same size.
