"Sarge! Phoenix! Play nice with the other Chao, okay?" Jaks the HUmar called out, waving good bye to two Chao, one was dark green in color, it wore a toy military helmet and ribbon, above his head floated the symbol for Neutral Chao, a yellow sphere. The other, a slightly taller orange Chao, waved back to his master, he featured Phoenix talons on his feet, an fiery crest atop his forehead, massive wings with a span of twice hisself, his head was elongated in the back and had four antennae sprouting from it, but unlike Sarge, this one had a yellow halo, symbolising he was a Hero Chao.

The two Chao entered the small passage way labeled 'Chao Garden'. On the other side was a beutiful valley with food trees and a small river coming from the surrounding mountain that emptied into a pond, around the Chao Paradise other Chao played, Sarge and Phoenix looked at eachother and smiled, they then took off running down the hill to play.

Jaks tightened the belt on his white FOmar robe as he climbed into a hover car, in the passenger seat was a HUnewearl with long blonde hair and blue clothes, but instead of the standard shorts she had blue bell bottom jeans.

"Jaks, do you think they'll be okay?"

"Don't worry, they can fend for themselves, and plus the garden has gaurdian Rappys, they'll be perfectly safe."

"I hope so."

Aneka, the black-clad, black haired, ah whatever. The vampiric RAmarl that was Aneka was busy giving her Hero Chao, Stradus, Monomates, just to see if it would like the 'mates. Just in case it didn't, she had Hero Fruit abound. After that, Aneka just left the Garden, with a "Goodbye, Stradus." Stradus then started swimming. More on Stradus, it was a second-life Chao.

EDIT: I guess I need more...

Stradus treaded water for a bit, then spotted the other two Chao. He didn't know whether they were friend or foe, so he climbed out of the water and sat watching TV, remembering his Chao Karate skills, just in case. He just stared at the TV, unaware of anything else at the moment. Wind blew, rain fell, but nothing made the Chao look away. He really loved his comedy shows.

And so, as he looked over the Garden from a high mountain cliff, a black chao with Dragon wing smiled, despite his color he was a Hero Chao, a Hero Running Chao to be exact,"I love it when newbies enter the Garden."

He proceded to place a paper bag over his head and fly down to the Chao Stadium.

"The games will soon commense!"

Stradus, also being a Hero Running Chao, but not as embarrassed as to put a bag on his head. His horn was pretty big, but let's just say it's not safe to play leapfrog with him. He broke his eye contact with the TV to look for some food. He saw a fruit that had just recently fallen on the ground from one of the trees. Stradus went over and started to eat.

((NOTE: Stradus is actually smart enough to get his own food when he is hungry in SA2:B))

heh, I dont know weather I should join this fic or not, I may even regret it if worst comes to that, but one things for sure: with each fic, I must fill an evil role. >)

Drip... Drip... Drip...

"What?s that sound?" Pheonix finally asked curiously.

Drip.. Drip.. Drip..

The insisting echo of liquid dropping to the floor consisted... but it was getting closer. The sound attracted the curious nature of most newborn chao, and eyes slowly began to shift towards the entrance to the garden. A dark silhouette was born from the shadows, approaching with every infernal drip. Like a dolphin erupting from the waves, it finally broke through the blankets of darkness. A black figure entered the garden; with slick green grooves pushed to the back of its head, and pointed tusks jutting forward from its cheeks, it floated above the ground with a ghost like tail replacing its legs. Its eyes slowly opened to a glare, as the dark ball atop its head sprung spikes about it. Eyes widened and voices hushed when the dark swimming chao came into sight, as the grass bellow it stained red. The cause of the drip was best left undiscovered for some; blood was shedding off the chao everywhere. From each spike of its ball, from its tusks and tail, just about wherever you can think of it. A small trail followed behind it as he proceeded into this defiled paradise. But it wasn't long until he came to a stop.

"And what brings you from your morbid little hell hole?" A black chao demanded, blocking the dark one's path. At first the swimmer was surprised at the question coming, from a black chao like himself. However, it quickly corrected itself, realizing his adversary was in fact, a hero chao.

"The lake of blood at the dark garden is running a little shallow..." he eyed a few meaty chaos about the area. "I like my pools deep." >)

"Save it for the karate pal. And for god's sake, will you get a towel!?" It snarled, motioning to a several crying young chaos.

"Oh, that won't be necessary. I plan on going for a swim very shortly. Now if you excuse me, I can be on my way faster."

"I don't think so."

"Than I'll consider you ignorant." he said gruffly, sidestepping the nuisance. To keep from being followed, he swished his head about a bit using his spiked ball as a hazzard to prevent the hero chao's approach.

"This is going to be one rough day..." The hero muttered, as it watched the dark chao walk off, leaving red grass in its wake.

A cool breeze blew across the four figures, two motionless, the others shifting in their positions nervously. A fifth lay directly in the middle of the ring the living bodies formed. Inside, a heart beats three times, and somethings eye's opens. A chao egg, an unuasual one at that. The shell softened and became a translucent electric blue, allowing the viewers a glimpse inside. Spikes glistened with tips of cyan light, while dark gray skin framed its dead black eyes. A firm line to indicate the figures mouth, and by the way it was positioned the creature seemed to have an overbite. Sharp claws with a sharper look, the chao was indeed a true killer. One of the three females touched the thinning film of the evolved embryo tentively.

"He will remember me right?" her concern was met with a sigh, an elder shook his head and watched glowing symbols form opun the figure in the egg's body.

"Sadly, no.. Thats what happens when you choose the path of rebirth."

"But we.."

"Sandra, I'm sorry he chose this life instead of to be with you for the rest of eternity. But if you think about it, that describes him perfectly."

"He'll be the same Matius I remember, theres no way he could forget me or our children." The grass around them rippled, sending light spraying across the field like waves upon the sea. White cracks split down the egg's middle and eventually shatter it, leaving a shivering figure upon the ground. Blinking for he was unnacoustumed to the light, Matius glanced around at the expectant faces, his own a complete blank. Sandra despaired when the reborn chao's eyes bore no trace of recognition, and for a moment she was lost in their endless void of darkness. He feels so weak.. can this really be the next stage?

"M-Matius?" Relief came to her in a flood as the chao bounded to her and held the female tight. So he does.. what? Once done with their embrace, the reborn ran over and squeezed the elder affectionatley. No way! He would never do that! Bitter thoughts ran through her head as Matius squoze their first daughter, and then the second. For a moment the young chao looked around, and once he decided that there was nobody left to hug, busied himself with the task of rolling around in the silky grass.

"Oh yes, I do believe its the good 'ol Matius we remember." The older figure said,

"Shut up. This is no time for your jokes. Hey no! Don't eat that!" Sandra smacked the reborn's claws, about to stuff a juicy worm he had found on the ground into his mouth. The wriggling string fell to the ground, free from the spike that had impaled it through one side. He looked up at the female, tears forming in his eyes. The sight to unbearable to stand, she tried to comfort the infantile version of her previous lover.

Matius wasn't one to be kept down for long, and almost in the same instant Sandra let go of him he started off through the tall grass in the pursuit of a ladybug. The younger daughter laughed and joined her father, while the older tugged at her mother's hand.

"Mom.. is that really dad?" For a moment, the parent did not know how to reply.

"I hope so." She said after a great length of time, watching her husband open his mouth to reveal a pair of sharp fangs, explaining the overbite..

The reborn chao soon strayed away from the party, two figure uncertain of what to do, two quite confused by what had just happend, and all four unsure of what the future would hold for them. Life in the chao gardens was peaceful enough, if you had a clan to protect you that is. But now that their leader was an infant, it would befall Sandra to keep up the title of their reputed group until the 'abyss' could be returned to power.

Seeing a world full of people to hug, Matius set out in search of himself..

Stradus looked up from his meal at the Dark Chao, then nearly threw up. After that, he'd lost his appetite. He decides to do something else to pass the time, and decides to kick the Chao Garden Ball into the wall. *BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE*
"I'll wait for them to come to me.", Stradus said. He was a little bit of a shy type, one who wouldn't start conversations. To continue his excercise routine, he started to run about the Garden. He loved competing in the Races. He'd even beaten the Dark and Light Chaos Chao.

EDIT: Dang it, I never know what's "enough" on this type of thing. Adding more...

As he was running around, Stradus decided he would try not to look at the groutesque sight that was that Dark Chao covered with blood. He clambered up the rocks near the pool of water, dove into the water, climbed back out of the water, and so on. When he got tired, he just watched TV some more, keeping to himself, waiting for the others to come to him.

"Stupid Darks, always insisting on ruining our happy little home with their malicious ways, tainting our children." the black Dragon scowled, but images of his past life wizzed by, scenes of a floating purple man giving him fruit, scenes of a tall fat man with skinny legs cuddling him, and of a black rodent taking him to school.

"I guess you can't complain then, can you Keko?" A light blue Chao said, but his voice was slightly muffled by his grey beard.

"Don't remind me Mr.Principle..."

"I see two new Chao have come."

"Yes, they were brought here by a Human in strange cloths."

"I see... well, I trust you will have the games up soon?"

"Yes, when everybody is situated I'll announce the games."
