I didn't think it was possible, but when I was playing in the Ruins offline in normal mode, I came across a SPECIAL WEAPON. At first I didnt care because I figured it was DB Saber #7. But curiosity got the best of me and it turns out I found photon claws!! I was shocked to say the least. I have never heard of finding rares in normal. Then in the next room I cleaned out the enemies and came upon more goodies. Megids lv2 and 2 trigrinders to be exact. Can somebody tell me if this is common and I am an idiot, or is this a really strange and lucky occurence? Later.

According to my own experience AND the strategy guide, you CAN find a few rares in normal mode.

I got a delsaber's buster, a photon claw+1, some hp, evade, and defense material, and a few dimates/trimates in one go round in the ruins just the other night...
But of curse everytime I beat the dragon on hard I get jack... |

A friend of mine found a double saber on normal ruins. I'm not sure if he got anything else though but I was surprised when he told me where he found it.

Ummm... Arcadean the topic is refering to what rare items you have found in normal mode... Not normal weapons in normal mode...
