He's refering to a keyboard converter. It can take a normal computer (PS/2 plug model only, it's the small plug kind) keyboard and hook it up to the Gamecube. I already have a very nice keyboard I was given from work. It doesn't work with my computer with an older style connector, so I'm using it with the Cube. Hopefully with the extra buttons, one will be able to switch between Japanese kana, kanji and romaji mode. The keyboard for the Dreamcast was a pain like that :/.
