I've got the scariest costume imaginable planned:

I'm going to be a computer geek.

This topic is quickly going to Hell FKL, so I'll post something useful.

Anyway, I plan to dress up in a highly formal tuxedo or suit, complete with top hat and cape. I'll have, strapped to my belt, a short sword and a large revolver-style pistol. That would be Edward Artemis Strangelove, the weird character I came up with in my mind.

Or, for something that's much easier, I might go as an agent of the Thought Police.

I'd like to scare children trick o' treating, but it'd be very hard to make my own Dictionary costume... chasing the children saying, "Why don't you look it up!? Sound it out! I before E except after C!!!"

Some kid in my Senior HS class, a few years back, dressed in a "stoplight" costume.
Seriously. Red, Yellow, and Green 'lights' on a large cardboard box.

...the catch, he forgot to put in 'armholes'

It became a chore to open doors, enter classes, and just lug that thing around.
But damned, looking back at it, that costume owned.

Myself this year?
Ugh. Argh. I'll get back to you. I have no ideas, or intention of leaving the house this year/knowing where I'll be.

That dictionary one made me crack up.
Thanks for that one!
-give out dictionaries instead of candy?! My own little twist on that, but it may be costly. Haha.
