Probably the only one worthwhile would be Symphony of the Night (at least, that's what I've heard from many a Castlevania fan... I've yet to play the game myself), but doesn't that involve quite a bit of insight into the series history to truly understand?
Then again, I guess the GBA games are all pretty self-contained. But you've gotta have a Belmont, y'know? And you've gotta have Simon, y'know?
Well, I guess you don't need Simon, but whatever.

Symphony of the Night was my favorite out of the ones I have played. (Still need to play the N64 ones, and the new one for PS2 and Aria of Sorrow.)
In Symphony they did have a belmont. *Ricther* And ya' know, Alucard is like the father of Trevor. Afterall, when he and Sohpia got jiggy, he gave the Belmonts super human strength. To my knowledge, I might have to check out the Dungeon and double check.
*Needs to buy a PS2 to play the new one*
