UPDATE: Chinese PSOBB is no longer in free beta testing 3/28/05

1. Go to http://www.psobb.com.cn/PSOBB2/downl...tomclient.html

Update: download the lastest version you see on the list. Currently its 1.19.1 (2/27/05) The usage of BitTorrent or Flashget for downloading these files is highly recommended.

2. Go to http://register.1001game.com/mapping.do?map=register

FYI... I think those three check boxes are for the following:

1. Allowing them to use your personal info
2. Make your contact info public
3. Make your detailed info public

I unchecked them all, I would suggest doing the same

Pre-checked check boxes are rarely ever good... hehe.

Anyone actually make it online with the PSOBB beta client? It's letting me enter my user name and password (no idea if it's getting verified or not), but I keep getting error 908 when I try to go online with it. Am I missing something? Hehe. Wish they'd hurry up with an English beta or something...

Error 908 supposedly means the servers are down for maint.... However, I've been getting the error for the last 24 hours

Actually, Error 908 means that you can't connect to the patch server. You'll usually get it DURING a maint, but it's entirely possible to get it when the servers aren't under a maint.

The version you download in that thread is OUT OF DATE! you need version 1.18.3 to connect!

(and don't ask me where, I was lucky to get it at all, took 3 days to get downloading at like 5 kb/s because of such poor servers. Make sure that your download goesn't have anything usual at the end of it, (no (beta))

the game should force you to download all the patches everytime you go online, so I don't think you can download the wrong file. After the patches the game updates itself to the lastest version.
