Well, you could call them drawings, but thats being kind Nah, heres some of the sketches I had to produce for my last University project. These are all character designs for my Game proposal, 'Deuce: Demon Hunter'. Yes, I love the name Deuce, and the character that bares this name is really the original owner of the name. I didnt think i would be doing games design, so it was kindly donated to my PSO fan fic character. Seeing as the idea was floating around my head for my second project, the name went back to its original owner.

Enough prattle. Heres a nice selection of images. I would give you a link to my University Homepage, but its been screwed over.

Deuce: http://www.newmedia.lincoln.ac.uk/ps...S/gd2Deuce.gif

The dreary Demon Hunter Deuce. Not the happiest character, but being forced to do something you hate but know is the right thing to do can cause conflicts in a guy. Coat is a bog standered trenchcoat, no tacky leather here!

Rebecca Lorne: http://www.newmedia.lincoln.ac.uk/ps...gd2Rebecca.gif

The cheery female character of the game. I love this character as she is the counter balence to Deuce and I wrote some great scenes for her. Note the crappy hands, oh how I loathe drawing hands.

Ganieda Darice - Human: http://www.newmedia.lincoln.ac.uk/ps...gd2ganieda.gif

Lich: http://www.newmedia.lincoln.ac.uk/ps...aniedalich.gif

Aha, a female Lich, I havent seen many of those about, so i ran with the idea. A running theme in the game was how the Demons always had two forms, Human and Demonic, thats why there be two pic's. The Lich image isnt one of my favourites, but it completes the piece. Note that the human image may have got me in trouble during presentation when I accidently noted that she had a 'Huge Rack'. Way to go, nervous D-Alpha.

Jamila Maibe - Human: http://www.newmedia.lincoln.ac.uk/ps.../gd2jamila.gif

Spinx: http://www.newmedia.lincoln.ac.uk/ps...milasphinx.gif

I felt Sphinx were an under used breed of Demon and developed this character. Young, but has a great knowledge of magic. I really started to like this character aswell which saved her froma death at the hands of the player.

Well, there the pictures im actually happy with showing off at the minute. Not too great, but I feel im slowly improving at this drawing lark. Things to conquer are hands, feet postioning and depth. But then again, im more of a writer then artist, so these would be the sketches i would send off to the proper artists to work from. I also have a PSO related pic to post soon, but im waiting for my site to be updateable again before I show that one off.

For now, im going to try and get 'DH: Legacy' updated.

*glares at DSA for not updating first*

Nah, just kidding man. I honestly have no right to do that seeing as I'm your only fan who hasn't read DH1.

Anyway, I really like your Duece pic, as well as your Jamila too (sphynxes are a fun topic of mine). I would really love to see this turned into a game. Send me a beta when you can!

Oh, and about Ganieda, maybe you should tear her dress a bit in Lich form, sort of show that she decays everything, and merely uses illusions to make it look beautiful. But that's just my opinion.

Nope, no pictures here. Move along.

Those aren't too bad. I think working a bit more with proportion would help you, though.

I think thats one of the things I have to conquer as well. I know I have a horrible tendency to make female characters chests a bit...big. Any suggestions on other proportions to work on? I appreciate any suggestions thrown at me as in the end it helps.

I have found out why the whole website doesnt work, so once I sit down and rename every damned link (stupid Unix based servers not recognising capitals) I'll post the whole website as it gives a run down of my entire games proposal, as well as some flashy screenshots of a Jedi Knight 2 mock up I made to show 'gameplay'.

Oh, and I dig the suggestion for Ganieda's dress Raven. I had never really thought about it when i designed the character, I had aimed more for an outfit that would show off both flesh and bone to show the differences in form. I may have to revise that image and see what I can produce.

I can scan and send you some proportion guides that my Life Drawing teacher handed out, if you'd like.

he writes! he draws! He designs game!

can he sing and dance too?

pretty good concept drawings there d-alpha! i wouldn't worry about the 'large' chests as the marketing brains behind any game generally will tell you to increase the size and reduce the clothing. you'd think that the majority of gamers are single horny men .

though Rebecca seems to break the mould by wearing a suit. Which i can only say is pretty cool.

Deuce is pretty cool too, though have u ever played hunter the reckoning? Looks a little like a younger clean shaven version of Fr. Estaban Cortez - everbodies favourite demon slaying priest.

apart from Deuce has a real mans gun and a katana. mmmmmm.

and i think raven's idea is on the ball concerning Ganieda. Maybe add some maggots and creepy-crawlies crawling around around between her bones (picture a cut-scene where a centipede crawls in her eye socked and out her mouth as she talks. she maybe just bite it in half), kinda like those 10ft tall walking dead things in ninja gaiden.

i can safely say that Deuce: demon hunter is the kind of game i'd really like to get a bash on . U've got a pretty interesting cast here, and the mention of a jk2 mock up has made my war glands over-time!

good luck with it!

PEACE!!!

Only when very drunk. Classmates found this out last friday as I did my terrible version of 'Paint It black.

Ive never played 'Hunter', but I can see the resembalence. Very odd as I never really had anyone in mind when I was drawing Deuce. And the gun he is carry is a Sigarms P226, a very sexy looking handgun that I've never seen used before.

well i wudn't worry about the resembalance. and really other than the trench coat and the long hair, theres not much else the same. apart from they both use swords and fight the creatures of darkness.

i mean come on, nobody really notice how alike serious sam and duke nukem were. or squall from FF and eddy carnbey from alone in the dark 4.

but yes the sigarms tis quite sexy. Course anything that fires bullets and makes loud noises is good in my books! except for a screaming man with bullets stuck up his willy, primed and 'ready for use'.

boy i keep sinking to new depths...

PEACE!!!
