kind of like an annoying kid I met when mom had me put into a hospitol.
he was 12, and he wore dickies clothes every day, was 4'9, kept bragging about how he was a drug dealer, and how many girls he took to bed.
it was all bull, and he kept making things up, like most rappers do* (sorry if i'm offending anyone). make stuff up.
people will mostly just follow the one that glitters the most. maybe if i wore a gold-plated toaster around my neck, and wore bright red tracksuits day after day I'd be popular. but I don't want that.
I hate it when people run aroud, acting like they know everything when the don't.

*I do like certain rap music, especially Run DMC, so I'm not saying rap is bad, just may rappers lie.

My guess is people brag to get respect. It's the least effective way of doing so but let them try. Getting expensive clothing, cars, jewlery, and women is another ineffective way to find praise and respect.

If they had any sense and really wanted respect and popularity that badly it comes in a simple method. Work to better and give to the community. Show that you care about somebody else besides yourself, and that you're concerned about the world around you. That gets you respect and popularity.

RL attention whore. Forceofbrokanglass got it. People brag for attention. It is to compensate for something that they do not have. In this kid's case, he prolly got issues he needs to work out.

Well, you would liked to have seen what i saw yesterday. There is a little black boy who picks on girls, and talks shit to everyone. The only people he will physically do anything to though are girls. Well, yesterday in class two other black boys told him they were going to beat him up after school;. I didn't believe them either but sure enough they were going out to the bus and they both started punch the little shit who picks on girls in the head. Little shit feel down and started crying and the two ran to their busses and left.

Hopefully he learned his lesson.

Pretty much covered the topic in one word. It's annoying when you get some little kid, thinkin' he's a pimp... I think some of the blame has to be on the parents, who ideally should've taught them better.
