What are the forum rules?

PSO World FORUM RULES:

• No "Lamers". Think before you post. Make sure your post will not offend others. Please try to stay on topic in accordance with the original post. Please try to keep your language clean if possible. We're a forum, not a bar or pub. Do not respond to flamebait. We'll handle it.
  
  
• Do not attack the moderators, do not annoy the moderators, do not target the moderators. The moderators do your dirty work for you. They are here for your benefit, not to abuse you with their powers. (However, if you make an effort to upset a mod, they will not hesitate to ban you). The moderators were chosen because we feel they deserve and can handle the job. If you are unhappy with a moderator or the way the forum is ran, you are welcome to find another PSO related forum to post in. Whining about or holding a vote against a moderator will not institute any type of change in staff. PSO World is not a democracy nor is it your playground.
  
  
• Do not post links to cheat codes. Do not post cheat codes. Doing so will result in an instant ban.
  
  
• No advertising known dupe give-aways, especially mass give-aways, and no flaming people of suspected dupes. Do what you want on your own time, but when on PSO World, respect our rules.
  
  
• Post in the appropriate forums. If you make a mistake and post in the wrong forum, it's okay. However, do not make posting in the wrong forum a constant behavior. Do not 'hijack' other peoples' threads. This is considered to be rude behaviour. If you wish to continue a conversation with one particular person which has no bearing on the original topic, please take it to Private Mail. Do not post private information about anyone.
  
  
• No Spam. Spam eats space. This rule is strictly enforced. This will include posts containing single words, or abbrieviations such as "lol" and the like. The forums are NOT a chat room, so no freeposting. If the thread is a poll, such as a, then it is allowed, but please try to put a reason for the choice instead of just a one word post. Spam threads are only allowed in Fresh Kills Landfills.
  
  
• Respect EVERYBODY in the forum. Everyone's equal here. This forum isn't just for one group or individual. Flaming will not be tolerated. You flame, you get banned. No discriminatory or derogatory remarks. Racist remarks, deragotory statements about another religion or belief, or ethnocentrism will result in banning. So, don't.
  
  
• Flamebaiting, or throwing remarks at users in attempt to get them to flame you, is just as bad as flaming. Do not start fights. Inciting fights will warrant a warning.
  
  
• Once again, topic "hijacking" is frowned upon. You hijack, you will receive a warning.
  
  
• Signature limits still remain the same as they were before. 600 pixels horizontal, 180 pixels vertical, 35000 bytes max, NOT 35KB. This rule still applies to Flash signatures, do not have Flash movies loading other movies. Do not have midi music auto-playing on sigs and no more than 5 lines of text! The 5 lines of text rule includes line breaks. Repeated abuse of signature limits will result in having your signature taken away. Do no use pornographic images in signatures.
  
  
• Do not post pornographic images, or cartoon/anime pornographic images. You want them, go elsewhere. Posting pornographic images or links of any kind will result in a warning or ban. PSO World is a site themed for all ages. This means no posting of any adult-related material or material that would be non-suitable for viewing by minors.
  
  
• Do not post messages from Private Mail/Private Logs if they are meant to be private. In addition, please do not harrass members via Private Mail.
  
  
• Please address any personal issues or complaints about members by PM'ing a mod instead of taking it out on the board. If you have suggestions, issues, or complaints about the board itself, please use the Site Related forum.
  
  
• Use of the PSO World forums is a privilege and not a right. If a moderator feels you need to be removed from them, you will be sent a private message about whatever behavior has initiated your removal. Failure to change your behavior will result in a ban. In certain circumstances, there will be no warning and instead, the user will be banned immediately.
  
  
• Personal photos should not exceed 600x450 in dimensions. Users abusing them will be warned first and should repeated abuse occur, said user will lose their ability to have a Personal photo. The abuse warning also goes for signatures and custom titles.
  
  
• Warez or illegal related content of any kind is grounds to be banned by our discretion. Links to such material are considered the same as posting the actual material as well as requests for it.
  
  
• Please refrain from advertising your site anywhere on PSO World, in the forums or using Private Messages. You may only do so from a link within your profile or signature.
  
  
• Do not post, or link to PSO Hoax stories, this is a PSO site and will not tolerate such posted material. So if in doubt just don't post it.
  
  
• Choose your vocabulary wisely, do not call people "Gay" or use the offensive term "JAP". Whether your using the word offensively or not do not use such slurs. Think before posting.
  
  
• Repeat threads are not allowed, please check the forum to make sure your topic is not already been addressed. Repeat threads needing moderation will result in a Warning Count.
  
  
• Abuse of the Mod Alert function will result in a warning. Repeated abuse will result in a ban.
  
  
• Do not steal or use any of our images or information to use on your or any website without our consent. This will result in a warning or an instant ban. Respect our users and do not steal their works, literary or artistic.
  
  
• Do not abuse the "Your Account" profile. Do not post information that are against our rules in the "Extra Information" field in your profile.
  
  
• Do not abuse or attempt to play around with the code of the site. Doing so might result in an instant ban.
  
  
• We appreciate payments in the form of bananas.

Users normally have three warnings before resulting in serious action or a ban. However, depending on the extremity of the violation, a user may only have one warning or an instant ban.

rofl. for some strange reason i laughed at that. it reminds me of this time that someone asked me a serious question in a topic. and then i typed a clickable link that said, "if u need me to explain go here", and it was a porn site. lol, i'm an idiot, i still laugh at that today. lol. if only u guys could see the goofy childish smirk on my face whenever i think of pornography, lol


but in all honesty, whats the point in attacking moderators. i think its really funny(and this coming from me, the one who doesnt respect authority at ALL) how people try to "challenge" the modersators and ish. i never got that, people attack u because u have a job. moderating would be fun i mean i'll admit. i'd be a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE mod pick, but it shure would be an interesting trip
