i'm creating a RAcast, and i want to know which units should i put in his armor slots: units that increase evasion or defense? i mean, evasion means they cant hit u very often, but defense means when u get hit, you arent hurt as much...i'm just disoriented and would like to know what most people think is best

Evasion, even though it is useless against bosses.

I think this kind of topic's appeared before, but anyway...

EVP-Block more attacks.
DFP-Reduced damage from 'melee' attacks (there are exceptions)

I personally prefer Defense, especially in the later stages of the game. Not sure about higher level people, but at lv149, I hardly EVER block in ultimate ruins. Seabed, CCA, and some of the VR enemies also break my guard. I have a HUcaseal with over 1000EVP, and Tollaws still break my guard. Just because of enemies like this, I'd prefer to reduce the damage they're going to deal out.
In addition, sometimes blocking is a pain, especially when you're surrounded, and can't get attacks landed because you're blocking.

So yeah, defense for me.

Uriko that may be right, but one thing you forget its multiple attacks. If your defense is so high that you DONT get knocked down, in effect your setting yourself up to be killed. Multiple hits, no falling, equals death. Example would be the light blue spheres that Falz uses to attack you in third form.

Yeah, that's one disadvantage of high DFP. I still prefer it over EVP though.

I'm one of these insane hunters who gets cornered by Sinows, and hacks my way out if I can, since Resta tends to waste time. Kinda race against time to break out before I die. Always fun.

In this case if you use mats instead of the resta techs it shouldn't be a problem since they are instantaneous, right ?

If your that stuck use this, set a tp and get out. Return back and the enemy would have reseted to their original positions (assuming you are alone) And I mean a Telepipe, not Ryuker.

Yeah, I tend to use Ryuker as a replacement for pipes, but the casting animation prevents usage in a situation like this. I like fighting my way out, actually makes mines more challenging

As for the part about Falz's blue projectile attack, I think it hits multiple times online if you can keep standing after the 1st hit, so I'm not sure a 'mate would help much. I haven't tested this though, so I may be wrong. All I know is that if you can stay standing after the projectile hits, it's likely you'll get hurt/killed by the remnants of the volley.

The mats would help, but since your unsure of how much damage your taking, you may over use them for each consequent hit. In effect youll run out of mats really fast. Best would be if you fell to the ground after the first hit, if you survive it you have a second or two for recovery and you can manage your mat intake more wisely.
