What game have you played that seemed like it should have ended much earlier than it did?

For me, its 7th Saga on SNES. That whole second world and then realizing you're the one who betrays yourself in the end was just...going too far.

Evolution Worlds. It was okay, but extremely repetative, and you get bored very easily.

it should have ended sooner, or had been more interesting.

I got so bored I deleted my file for it off of my memory card because I thought it was "wasting space"

As much as I love it, Grandia 2 should've ended about 4 hours earlier than it did. It was an anticlimactic chore going through the body of Valmar, the friggin' moon, Birthplace of the Gods, all those sub bosses, and finally, the total letdown of a final boss when you were already expecting an ending. At least the epilogue tied things up fairly well, but it threw the pacing way off of what could have been an exceptional game.

its mostly too long prologues that annoy me. if the right mood doesnt kick in for some reason. for example... fatal frame 2 took almost 3 hours to really start getting interesting... lets see if that dies off again >_>

Long prologues are good, but only in certain situations. Wild Arms 3 is a good example of this as it tells the backstory of the 4 characters before rejoining what's going on on the train.

Xenogears and Star Ocean anyone? And Xenosaga as well. Hell, Xenosaga games are just that- prologue. Nothing else really.

Super Ghouls and Ghosts for the SNES. It was a great game, really. But when you finally got to the end and beat the boss, you were rewarded with having to... run through the game with the world flipped upside down again. It was a pretty long game as it was, and there were no continues available to the player. It made the game super difficult.

I know everyone says Devil May Cry 2 is a bad game, but i enjoyed it. I think it should have gone a lot longer then it did on both stories [especially Dante's]. When i got to the final boss, i thought there would be more after....until the credits came up and i got new costumes.

Oh well >.<

Skies of Arcadia. THREE boss fights? I could have taken a nap, eaten dinner, and learned how to speak Italian in that amount of time.

It was worth it though.

Oh... Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I felt as if I killed a division worth of dark jedi. Eventually, I figured out that running past them was just as effective.
