I was playing through 9-8 and encountered a switch in the SE corner of the Desert 3 map by a healing ring. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure what it does. Can anyone offer some clues/insights into its function?

I'm not looking at any maps right now so I don't really know if its the room in the SE corner, but the only switch I can think of thats next to a ring is a lightswitch for a room across the previous room that spawns rappies then gorans (the room before the scene with Kireek and Sue)
