Hi I play xb offline and I was wondering if anyone knew what exactly to give a humar mag starting at still in the MAG stage I want to get pow really high thanks for reading.

Have you looked at the guides. There's a bunch of guides here that you should check out.

All I can tell you is that mates raise power and fluids raise mind. I'm not much of a mag raiser.

It is best to have at least some DEX, most people prefer in the 50s area.

So start with Antidote. At level 35 or so, then you may want to add POW. POW is generally added using *mates.

In my opinion dex is a waste of space on a hunter mag.

Mag dex+2 = Charcacter ATA+1
Mag Pow+1 = Character ATP+2 (perfect for hunters)

Maybe, if you are more of a sword/slicer person. However, I love using mechguns and in that case DEX is imperative. I know my mag could be better, but it's 15/121/64/0. I could've redone it with no DEF increase, but it's enough for my purposes.

HUnters get a high enough amount of ATP. ATP is wasted if they don't hit anything, which the ATA is needed for. ATP also can be gotten from Materials, ATA doesn't have Materials (GC/XBox/BB).
Sure you could just use something like a 5/195/0/0 Mag, but you would have to use more God/Arms than normal, meaning you have less slots for other units (such as Cure/* or Resist/* or */HP units).

DEX is only truely wasted on a pure casting Mag. But even then some say that you should go with 5/0/45/150 so that you may get some use out of Geist type specials.

If anything, RAngers are the ones who need more ATP on their Mags.

maybe so but, in terms of mags and units, it is better to have power on your mag rather than pow.

I came to this conclusion by looking at how much of an increase units do, when looking at pow and dex.


If you put 195 on a mags dex, you get a ata boost of nearly 100 ata

if you put 195 on a pow mag you get nearly 400 atp

thats a ratio of 1ata to 4power, when putting stats on a mag.


If we look at unit boosts,
in a maximun unit (god unit) of pow you get a boost of 50 pow,

yet in a maximum unit (god unit) of dex you get a boost of 15 ata.

If you use the same ratio that i used with the mag (1 to 4) then that proves that you should have a 60 atp boost to make god power units as valuable as god arm units.

Therefore this proves (in a way not very well explained) that you should put power on your mag not neccesarily ata. It is more efficient to add ata by using god arm units instead of lumping all your mags levels with ata.

This does not mean that you should not put any ata on your mag but, to be most efficient, give power priority.

You get better stats, but you don't take into account that the ONLY other way to gain ATA is through units and leveling. I can often think of ways t use armor slots, and ATA levels up at most .75 per level.

It may be more efficient to use God/Arms for ATA over your Mag, but you lose too much.

And I agree, don't go with too much on DEX, unless you never want to use God/Arms. 50-60 is fine for HUnters, not like they'd be a whole lot less useful in battle.

Also don't forget you have POW Mats available, but there are no DEX Mats.

Man, you are so right! State/Maintenance pwned!

Anyway, you also have to consider that while you maybe be able to get more ATP out of a mag than ATA, ATA is much more valuable in Ult. because it's so much harder to hit enemies. Plus, an almost 100 ATA boost is much more significant in ATA than a 400 ATP boost in ATP.
