1. Technically, Darkfalz builds up strength during his 1000 year 'sleep'.

Well, technically, The Dark Forces and Falz's from the original series all died when they were defeated. They were merely extension into the copporeal world of a far greater power which could only manifest it's presence in Algol once every 1,000 years, giving it the apperance of ressurection.

It's like cutting the head off a Hydra - but you only see and fight one head at a time. It'll keep "reincarnating" until you finally manage to see the actual beast and slay it.

In PSO's case, Dark Falz was sealed away - so there isn't much he COULD do but rest. If you make the choice to believe Sonic Team and disconnect the series, then it would be possible to say that the Dark Falz in PSO does reincarnate and rests to gather power. Though traditionally, Dark Falz/Force's hiding has always been a way to manipulate people and events without being discovered - not to gain power.

On Dark Falz/Force, he could be behind the SEED invasion. You know how the D sub-cellular infections would implant itself in anything living. The SEED could be an advanced, multi-cellular form of the infection.

He very well could be. Though the link doesn't necessarily have to be through D-Cellular infections. The Profound Darkness (and in PSO's case, Dark Falz) has always had the ability to create minions - even in places such as The Rift where there is no biological cores to infect. The Chaos Sorcerer and Chaos Bringer (both old school PS monsters) are examples of this.

However, there also isn't anything to say that "D-Cells" weren't a part of the Profound Darkness/Dark Falz from the very beginning of the series. We just didn't know about them since the topic never came up.

Though in PSU's case, I would have to agree that the "D-Cells" in some form or another are back - simply because of the way SEED spreads, by "infecting" an area. Though they might not necessarily be D-Cells.

It's possible, but I'm hedging my bets on a Dark Force connection due to the presence of Relics and Protectors. The scene in the opening movies shows automatons of "light" fighting against giant enemies which are designed in the traditional PS "dark" fashion. Much like the people of Pioneer 2 used "Photons" (light) to destory D-Cellular mutation (Dark).

The concept of Light vs. Dark is the core of the struggle between, obviously, the Great Light and the Profound Darkness. Though these two beings may not exist specifically in PSU's world, there will be some struggle between a power of light and power of darkness. I can't really see Sonic Team reinventing all new villans to replace traditional ones, considering how vital they are to the perception of the series. If they were going to do that, I would have thought they'd have done it with PSO - as they had the perfect oppertunity to introduce a new Dark villan with the destruction of the Profound Darkness.

It didn't help that PSO was rushed out to release despite it not being finished, due to Sega's future announcement three months down the road that they were going to can the Dreamcast. Ah, what could have been...

This time though, Sonic Team's had the opportunity to make a full game without rushing things... PSU's going to be amazing.

Sinue, I was referring to when a Darkfalz is sitting in the wait, gaining strength. This is prior to some heroes rising up & killing it. Thats true. However, not all Darkfalzes were killed. Remember, the one in PSIII did not die. He spoke & said he would return in 1000 years. I know, its different from the others. But, its made clear that, that particular one did not die. Wonder where he went?

It's actually not quite clear what happens to the Dark Force in Phantasy Star III, due to the multiple endings. The idea that Dark Force aboard the Alissa III is the Dark Force you fight in Phantasy Star II (assuming Sean's ending of the Alissa III going back in time to Earth) is really not directly supported by the game. It's a connection that was made in the fan-community - not by Sega. Very plausable, yes, but not necessarily cannon.

Also, in PSIII's time - the Profound Darkness is already dead - yet the Dark Force there lives on. Since they are all really just one conciousness - it's possible that the heros of PSIII couldn't kill it since they didn't have a weapon like the Elysion. In a sence, the PSIII Dark Force would have ended up being the new Profound Darkness - albiet still very weak. This is supported since (going by the Japanese version's timeline) PSIII takes place 1,000 years AFTER PSIV. The original fight with the Dark Force took place shortly after PSIV durring the Devistation War between Orakio and Laya. If you make the leap of faith to connect PSO to PS - then this readily explains why Dark Falz simply will not die, and why he chooses a female host to focus his power (much like the Profound Darkness had a female form). Not to mention it explains why a Dark Falz (a minor demon, compaired to Dark Force) is so uberly powerful enough to have multiple forms.

The fact that he says he'll return in 1,000 years is really an expample of poor storytelling brought about by having a different team of writers and designers work on the series. Since all along, Tohru had the concept that Dark Force was just an exptension of the Profound Darkness (or at least, some other greater power) - but the PSIII writing team hadn't really consulted him -OR- Rieko... thus, not attributing the 1,000 year cycle to a weakening of the seal.

actually i wouldnt be suprised if the SEED is a part of the darkness since in the story of pso episode 3 it makes it appear that dark falz lured the people of coral to ragol

the last boss in pso episode 3 appears to be the remnants of dark falz trying to regenerate(ep3 takes place 20 years after ep2) this is futher supported by the Endu story arc. i dont really know how to explain it but endu is the offspring of rico and flowen created to finish the job .for some reason they refer to it as the big shadow. this is theroy on my part but i think bernie is involved.i believe he is the father of kranz and kylria. i also believe that black paper is funding the arkz wich means that at some point thier MO changed. more theory but i think Sue is now in charge of black paper since a couple arkz mention someone named Susan and the color black. why else would kireek help elly during seat of the heart?

first of all

what the fuck is up with the leukon knights? they are appearently guardians of some ruins but the arcitechture of the area where you fight them suggests it is not the same ruins where dark falz was housed

teifu/viviana they are both memebers of the graves family. teifu being the butler(a replacement for blant i would assume. but why is viviana a fonewearl? matha was a human yet they both have pink hair
