I was wondering, what is the reccomended level for tackling the Mines and the Ruins on Ultimate? I tried taking on the mines at my current level and I got slaughtered in the first room! Heck, my Demolition Comet at my current level were pretty strong in the other two areas, but the Gilchichs weren't even fazed. And if there is a reccomended weapon for me, or armor at least, plase, share it!

My advice, don't rush!
The difficulty curve in Ultimate is steep. Being able to handle Caves doesn't mean you can take on Mines right away. The enemies in Mines do not get knocked down easily, but your character is. So, if you are still not familiar with Ult. Mines, either
-go back to Forest or Caves to level up more or
-snipe them from the doors (this doesn't always work)

Btw, welcome; I forget about that. ;]
While leveling up, you should look at the guides/item DB to see what you can hunt in Forest or Caves. It makes the leveling more fun that way.

Don't worry, my FOmarl is in the exact same boat... went through Ult. Forest and Caves fine, and got righteously pwned in Mines. Dhylec's hit it on the the head... the only real way around it is to just level up some more.

I just picked some random items that I can hunt for in Ult. Forest and Caves (even if I don't want them) and started doing runs for them. I've also found that Very Hard TTF runs still present some challenge, you can rack up some good EXP there, too.

Thanks for the advice. By the way, another quick question, why in the world do the El Rappies come in two sizes?

If you're not with teammates and are solo, a mag that has the "Twins" PB, Mylla and Youlla will serve your HUmar well.

Don't let up on the Zalure/Jellen tagging and mechgun type weapons with HIT % give you the opportunity to hit the Ultimate mode version of the Gil and Dubchic's enough to knock them down.

Its random as to what hit in your combo will knock them down so having a weapon that you can use from a little way's away and hit 9 times in a row is a big plus.

The enemies fall over and you have a little more breathing room to attack them.

Leveling up through a lot of Sil Dragon runs helps.

I would use mechs for the mines since it will give you chance to knock them down.

That what I use to go through mines with my Fomar.

You'll find a few things if you look in the right places. ;]
I've never personally found one of these.

Wow. That startles me and intrigues me. Just another question though, the charecters, they're using Red Weapons, right? Like the Red Mechgun (or Scorpio, can't remember) the Red Sword, etc? I never understood what they were for... though the only one I have is the Red Handgun. But I do know they spell out "Heathcliff", right?
