First issue: Rings
Since I work with clay a bit, as well as drawing, and I'm really tempted to try out some cosplay things, such as...
Rings!
Red rings, Ragol rings, yellow rings... all that.
And I want tips, advice, opinions etc. Since I am just a student in clay craft.
And, I want to see others try and make clay rings, sculptures, etc.
I think I can make a ring that fits over my hand and on my wrist, but what I need to know most is...
What method of coloring should I use?
I was thinking of using either glaze or paint to get the red in, including detail (as there is a design in the redder outside)
"Cook/fire" then overglaze for a nice shiney look.
Second Issue:Plates! to server your Monomates on! ><
If the Rings don't work, I was thinking of Making nice smooth plates instead. Section ID plates to be exsact. Forming the plate over a snooth surface thingy, mold whatever. Thoose of you who've made a plate might know what I'm saying.
As for getting the S-ID on there, I was thinking of taking folder paper stuff, and cutting out a ID in it, placing it one the plate and paint?/Glaze?/Wax stuff? on it, so only the cut out parts will be colored.
The rest will be black and simple.
If that was hard to read for the rest of you, I'll try to re-type it.
Progress:
Ring : I've got the red and yellow/white/purple designs down. Y/W/P is the same, but I don't think all the other colors are.
And thank god, Red ring has a simple design. (See the card. ^_^ )
Plate: Just need a handful of ID's drawn in my notebook. This project will be cakey.
