Interesting news. I wonder if he'll still be able to use the blue hedgehog in his future ventures.

Less focus on sonic games = More focus on Phantasy Star games.

"Thol-Falz, tes par rel diemed. Tes syr, weh yi ryukad te reli, rel ken rel obid." Dark Force, your shrine is finished. Your sword, who you returned to reality, is able to be wielded.

He's currently in a sort of "Producer for All Teams" position, if I remember correctly. Sort of what Miyamoto does at Nintendo right now.

You should probably take him leaving Sega with a grain of salt, though, as it might not mean too much to the end consumer. It's like how Shinji Mikami supposedly left Capcom after they ported Resident Evil 4 against his will. Apparently all he really did was move to Clover Studios, which is either partially or fully owned by Capcom, anyway.

Now, if Naka were to actually cut all ties with Sega and move to a completely different company or form his own... that would be quite interesting. When was the last time he was really even in charge of a game? Sonic Adventure 2? I wonder what he could put out after such a hiatus with the benefit of freedom from a parent company.

as far as http://www.gamefront.de mentioned it is only that he gets his very own team. But i don't see it coming that he signs with MS or Nintendo to develop games for those companys.

I think this could be kinda good for Sega. They haven't really put out any quality games lately anyway. Just a few here and there but nothing like they used to pump out. They need some fresh new talent.
