IMO the voices sound fine. I've heard far far worse dubing before.
Please refrain from refering to fictional characters or their voices as "gay", IMO that is really childish and insults the creative efforts of the PSU development team, and belittles gay and bi individuals. Seriously.
I wish every PSO-World member playing PSO2 would have this outlook/attitude:
"I'll be honest: I'm a man of simple pleasures, and as long as I get to stab the blazes out of something, I'm pretty content."
Tactlessness is ugly, willfull ignorance and bigotry is even uglier

I don't know why people are already ready to burn Sega down over what little of the dub has been heard so far. The fascination with Japanese voice acting being better no matter what eludes me, but whatever. It doesn't sound bad at all. It's no Hollywood blockbuster, but besides maybe the Metal Gear Solid games, what is?

I think it's more the fact... The origional script is written in Japanese. And the actors they hire, are hired speciffically for their roles. In Japan, Voice Acting is a very popular job. There's lots of people who try out, and the Voice Actresses/Actors become pretty famous and popular... To them, Voice Acting is not too much different from acting, you can achieve the same level of fame.
This makes it easy for people to hear on voice... Then hear another... And simply say it doesn't fit. I hear things in Japanese often, and really... I have no problem with reading subtitles. At the same time, I prefer dubs. It's great when the voices are in English and they're good. Even tolerable.
Like I said though, as far as I go, Ethan's voice in Japanese was annoying. He was just that kind of character. It's tolerable, but I guess... Because you can't understand it, it seems that much better in Japanese. The words flow differently then in English, so you could never expect it to be the same.

I didn't say the voice acting was bad, They're going for that teen angst effect I guess. Either way it being translated means it should be shipping in 2 - 3 months. Marketing will mostly be done already and ready for release and the CD's will most likely be currently being printed in the following few months.
