Hey, umm...i know most of you dont like this game but i need help with unlocking the charactrs.

i've bought the 'fight the strongest challenger' thing from the secret shop but i dont know what prerequisites i have to fill in order to fight akuma in the last stage. can someone tell me what i need to do?

any help'd be appreciated. thanks!

Get to the last battle with over 80 Groove Points, and no continues.

Don't worry, you'll end up seeing him so many times through repeated replays, you will get sick of having him show up.

Umm...I managed to get 84 points using ryu and ken and Geese decides to show his ugly mug.

What went wrong? The only thing i can see is me setting the gauge to 'max'. It's the only possible way to achieve 80+ points (unless i really suck, tell me so if thats true)

Hmm, that's weird. You may have to score a Finest KO and some Super KOs.

*I never put the gauges on MAX, so I dunno if that will affect it. It's possible to get 100 Groove points normally*

If Geese was supposed to be the final boss, then you will instead go to Akuma's stage and fight him instead.

If Bison was your final boss, you go to Bison's stage and get ready to fight Bison instead of Balrog.. but Akuma jumps down from the top of the screen and slices Bison down the middle.

Sorry if my memory is a bit off regarding Gouki, as I haven't played the original CvS in awhile.

im a little rusty on this as well but i think you have to fight nakoururu or morigan to be able to fight akuma

you mean naorukuku (or whatever) and/or morrigan as the last boss? or can they appear at any stage?

Nak and Mori are not needed to face Akuma. They show up before the fourth battle if you have 60+ groove points, all super finishes (I think) and have not lost a battle (SNK groove for the Nakster, and Capcom groove for Morrigan).
You have to buy the ability to face them, of course.

*decided to try playing it again last night, as I accidently deleted my old save awhile back.. thank god for the NGPC and the ability to rack up 9,999 points in less than an hour. ^_^*

I faced akuma at long last and defeated him swiftly.

now i just read up that i have to do so much just to acquire him as a playable character *sigh*
