I was wondering, because they have a similar specials, which one is better. (This is thinkning under the asumption that the Lavis cannon will stay a lavis cannon and not be upgraded) Is ones wave special better. Because they both only hit 3 times and Orotiagito have better ATA and ATP so why is Lavis cannon more well known and hunted?

If that is true, then I assume it is because of the possible weapon combinations with a Lavis.

If I recall correctly: (edit: confirmed on Tycho's site)

Lavis Cannon- 5% HP drain, 60% power of normal attack, 60% accuracy of normal attack.
Orotiagito- 7% HP drain, power of a hard attack, lower accuracy.

Unfortunately, there's no data as a % concerning the Orotiagito's special accuracy, but I know it's very low.

People hunt Lavis to make Lavis Blades/Double Cannon- there's not much point otherwise (unless of course, you hunt for aesthetics).

If you leave a Lavis Cannon untekked the special has 100% accuracy and power of a hard attack and doesn't drain hp.

Unfortunately it is fixed in the later versions so in the end result, it can't do anything unless it is tekked.

Anyway, Lavis Cannon is prefered because the weapon has more functions than the Orichiagito. If it can't transform, then it would still be prefered. Apparently, most think that a Saber is better than a Katana due to the fact that Saber is faster and doesn't get disturbed as easily during a 3 hit combo. And obviously there is the untekked special which can done in the past versions.

Unless of course you play US/EU Blue Burst, where the Untekked Lavis glitch IS still there.

Of course. It was a port of the XBox PSO. The update to the Lavis special was done in PSO+, which never came out for XBox.


Neither is worth using, but an Orotiagito is better than a Lavis Cannon.
