According to Gamefront.de, Sonic Team issued a statement today that they will be shutting down the servers for those two platforms March 31st 2007.

That's sad really, will both the JP and EU servers of the DC-version go down? I haven't played much since I started with PSU but it's still fun to log on now and then. Surprisingly often you get a full team going.

Yes, it will be a worldwide shutdown. This also affects Episode 3 of course. Interestingly enough, it seems the Christmas theme on PSOX will indeed be eternal, as those servers are being kept up.
PSO:BB will be kept online though. |

Oh God... I can't believe they'll do that. Directly when I was planning seriously to get online with my GC. -_-
Still, I'm surprised they'll shut down the servers that soon. They loaded the Christmas thene recently, did they? I hate to admit it, but I guess free servers will be our friends for now on... *sigh* |

Wait, DC was still up!? o_O
These games came out YEARS ago, and GC is dead, and DC has been dead for years. I cannot believe they were still up. This should come as a suprise to no one. |
