From the duping that's been reported for months now and 'still' going on, to the room glitches (hax, whatever), to the same well known hackers and braggerts 'still' online and playing, I've never seen such a shoddy support team in my life.
Now I figure I'll cancel my subscription, easy right? So I go to Support. It gives the link to Playsega and says: Simply log into your Playsega account and select the "Cancel Subscription" option. That's it!
There IS NO freaking cancel subscription option! **shakes fist at Sega** I scoured my account, every link, every selection option. Nada!
Yeah, I had an emo rant boiling over, and wanted to vent here. Please someone tell me they're at least trying. I know they have banned people in the past, and they're supposedly looking into the duping and such, but it's been over a month. Duping is still there, the cheaters are still there.
Some people are afraid to even open shops now because of PM's being reset, room deco's stolen, and so on.
I try to play legit, I'm trying to keep the faith in Sega, but I'm loosing faith more and more each day. If PSU is doomed to be full of hacks and cheats for the duration, I guess I'll move on to something else.
I understand this doesn't bother everyone, and I respect all of you that continue to play and enjoy the game, despite what's going on. I'm just a little frustrated, and felt the need to vent a little.

I think only way for them to truely combat security issues is to team up with SE.. since SE has made it entirely impossible for stuff like this to occur. I mean only major thing in that game is speed/claim hacks and RMT. No duping, AH resetting, MH stealing etc.
Sega has bad coders.

Scrub and I say it best. "Have you ever played a game from Sega before..?". I honestly think this is as good as they will ever get. They aren't on-top of things, they did'nt do nearly enough testing on the game, and they don't even have current 'features' fully developed yet. We have numerous things in-game that really don't do anything that they should.
Not having a cancel subscription option on their site, come on, honestly. Thats basically saying "Well you can't stop paying unless you want to have to call and be put on hold until someone gets around to you." Honestly though, who wants to sit on the phone to cancel a subscription that could easily be handled on the web? It's beyond laziness on their part. If they have a sign-up form online to START the subscription, there's no reason to not have a mere 'cancel subscription' link. It's basically a back-hand to all the fans. "We're nice enough to make it easy to take your money, but not nice enough to let you quit giving us your money."
As far as the hackers and so on, sloppy code, it's always been sloppy code. For good grief the sloppy code comes right down to the game engine itself. If I can play co-op splitscreen Gears of War on my 360, why the hell can't I play splitscreen PSU? Sloppy code. It's disheartening that they don't have the dedication to their fans, as their fans do to them. But, it all comes down to the bottom dollar. They always fuck up their releases of PSO, it's been like this since the very first, and every time we get surprised that it has happened because we hoped they'd have learned their lesson.
I'm starting to think Sega and Sonic Team are just a group of people trying to do too many things, and doing none of them on any level of standards to the fans.

I'm getting kinda nervous since i'm started to make meseta decently. I mean some kid could just come into my room and reset everything that took a month to complete. So i'm planning to walk back to a different game. =/

I have yet to play PSU online, but I've had similar experiences in PSO. There, you just got attached to what was on your person. You sought to develop your character and only that, everything else you owned was just a kind of bonus used for bartering, as it could be gone any moment.

It is there. I just checked.
And I may as well stop siking myself up. SEGA and ST has killed PSU before it even got to the US. This should have been JP only. I'm sure non of this goes on over there..and they wont ever link the servers.

I haven't attempted to cancel my subscription. But all I've heard from the PSU General board is that to cancel PSU you need to call in somewhere. I'm quite sure I have to call in to cancel via X-box Live. If anyone can prove that wrong I'll be rather happy.
Not that it changes any of the other blaring downfalls.

Yeah, you are correct, you have to call in for canceling X-box. For PC/PS2, it's via the site.
If the original poster is on X-box, then well yeah, my bad.
