Phantasy Star Online has been confirmed for Nintendo Revolution, however its not how you think it would be.

Today Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo confirmed that Nintendo Revolution will be backwards compatible with Gamecube games and the system will come with built in wireless standards at his keynotes speech. As such, PSO is confirmed in a compatible sense (EDIT: I got a note back saying the wireless capabilaties should not hinder GC PSO versions and online functions should still work), and this is hot on the heels of the recent notes I was passed by Armion that SEGA is stepping up its online policies on cheating. There is still no confirmation on Episode IV however. You can read the source news here.

Well well, turns out that the Chinese version of Blue Burst was updated from version 1.15.x to 1.18.3 before the servers went online. Sorry to everyone who had already downloaded it, you're gonna have to do the multi day wait again.

Also on the 25th, Episode III is going to be updated with 2 new maps. Molae Venti and Lupus Silva 1. Lupus Silva 1 is an interesting stage as you're placed in a diagonal position from your opponent. However Molae Venti looks like its another 1 point blocker's dream.

I received some information today from Armion, I'll let it speak for itself.

I remind everyone that PSO:BB is a game worth playing, and while this game will have much of Sonicteam's attention, that GCN versions and servers will not be ignored.

Phantasy Star Universe is still in the developmental stages of production, I say this once again to dispel the early speculation rumors.

No information on the hearsay title PSODS. Does this mean it does not exist? Sorry, can't say.

Let it burn, Hunters in Maximum Attack!

Sonicteam would also like to send out a small thank you to the few players they had the opportunity to chat and play with 4 days ago. -Thanks for playing our game-

Also mentioned is a special something that has been added to the GC version of PSO. Good luck figuring out what it is.

A couple of things tonight. First off, Episode 4 for Blue Burst has gotten a sale date for its Japanese releasae. February 3rd.

As for what the game's box will look like...

Also if you buy the first release of the episode, you'll be getting a special gift, the soundtrack for episode 4.

Also Blue Burst will be getting East Tower, Gallon's Shop, and Phantasmal World 1 tomorrow.

As for Episode I & II, an addition is being made to the Pioneer x-mas quest. And with this, also another addition to Gallon's Shop is being added, but what it is is still unknown right now.

ST is also uping the chance of getting a VIP card on Episode III. And keep your eye out for a new card, Chao+.

This may be part of a quest, the translation i've got is a little confusing. If it is a quest, it'll be called Christmas of The Morgue. Maintenance starts tonight at midnight for EST.

Haloween will soon be out of here, and Christmas is on the way in. On the 30th Pioneer Haloween and the Haloween decorations will be taken down. However the Christmas theme and the quest "Pioneer Christmas."

This quest is meant for one player only, and you're going to be looking for the Naura sisters again. The quest is for Gamecube, Xbox, and possibly Blue Burst, but that is currently unconfirmed right now.

Well, looks like we're finally back online. A lot has happened since we went down, so lets get to it.

    Blue Burst
Seat of the Heart has been added to the list of Solo mode Episode 2 quests. (Actually, its the only one right now.) You can check out a guide for it here.

Window mode has been added. A new option in the options menu outside of the game has been added to reflect this. The good news is that you can switch between programs while in window mode. (although alt-tabbing while in full screen still crashes you...)

There was also a problem with the modification of technique ranges a little while ago. The Blue Burst team had commented and fixed the issue with Ver.1.15.6.

Pioneer Haloween has gone up for all versions except Dreamcast because it doesn't support episode II.

Labyrinthine Trial has gone online. A link to the guide for that quest can be found here.

Finally the news that everyone has been waiting for, the closed beta for Episode 4 will begin on November 30th. To have admitance to the beta, you had to have had a fully purchased hunters license back during the original beta in june and july. An email should be coming out soon on where you can get the files for the episode.

    Episode I&II (GC)
Phantasmal World 4 was installed on the 26th. In this quest, you're visiting the towers. But beware, it won't be easy, as you'll have to deal with multiple epsilons at one time.

    Episode I&II (XBOX)
Phantasmal World 1&2 have been added to the online playable maps.

    Episode III
Two new maps were added to episode III. The Morgue (After Arkz attack) and Lupus Silva a. Also a new rule has been added online for shared team HP. Along with that, the following songs have been added to the jukebox.

    Nebula Montana Part 1
    Nebula Montana Part 2
    Morgue Part 2
    Dolor Odor
    The Morgue Part 2

Also Leavin Flow is gone now.

Finally, for those of you wondering, Phantasy Star Monthly October has been released. Head here to pick it up. Till next update...and welcome back everyone.

I've seen many people ask about this, so I'm going to say this one more time. Episode 4 has NOT been announced for the Gamecube or Xbox. It has only been announced for the PC version Blue Burst.

During the downtime here at PSO-world, a few events went by that have no chance of being participated in at this point. On the Gamecube, XBOX, and Blue Burst versions of Phantasy Star Online, Resting at the Beach dissapeared from the online servers. On top of this, The Phantasy Star Online Illustration Olympics also went by. During this events, players on Episode III were able to go into special lobbies, and see the art that won in their divisions. You can still see that art here.

Getintothegame writes, "I just passed out seeing this, I have great pleasure passing along this news-

According to GCAdvanced, there is going to be a Phantasy Star Online DS.

Here is the article they posted:

Top SEGA franchises on Nintendo DS? We caught wind of some unofficially announced titles that you can expect. In what is purely speculation at this point, a reliable source has passed along the wonderful news of new SEGA titles planned for Nintendo DS.

Whether the titles listed below are currently in development or just in planning stages, you can expect all of these games to make an appearance in some way, shape, or form:

  • Sonic DS
  • Super Monkey Ball DS

While those are the previously announced and/or rumored titles, we are pleased to pass along the great news of even more Nintendo DS support from SEGA:

  • Phantasy Star Online DS
  • Puyo Puyo DS
  • "Project Rub"

Phantasy Star Online DS (tentative title), is said to include both wireless and/or WiFi play, voice command options with the built in microphone and of course touch screen options.

The rumored title, code named, "Project Rub," is said to be an entirely new and original project from SEGA for Nintendo DS, with no other information known. Perhaps from the suggested code-name, the touch screen will play a large part in the games creation.

I will keep you guys up-to-date on this news."

Hmmm that would be pretty cool, hopefully its not just a pure port with touch screen options.
Thanks to Skett for also writing this to us.
