Maximum Attack G+ (event period runs from 1/29 through 3/11):
Edward, a Phantasy Star Universe GM, announced today that the long-awaited Maximum Attack G+ event is scheduled to start on January 29th. Full information and a website for the event will be available around the release date. It was also announced that no server maintenance will be performed this week. Players interested in the next major time attack tournament can find details in a new section of the official PSU homepage. Described on the page are the list of rules as well as the in-game prizes which will be given away. While an official start date has not been set, it is planned to begin in January and continue through February.
The GMs are currently taking team entries on the official forums. Discussion about the event can also be found here on the PSOW forums.
Update: A new page has been posted on the official site detailing some additions to the prizes for the event. Players shooting for first and second place are now looking at the possibility of obtaining real-life PSU swag. Also, please note a small change to the rules.

The first details of the Great Gurhalian Cup II were announced yesterday by Edward. For those that are unfamiliar with the event, the Great Gurhalian Cup is a team-based time-attack tournament that is run by the Sega GMs. Each set of servers have their own tournament brackets. For this year's version, several new rules were announced. These rules include a four player limit on team sizes and provisions for dealing with alternates. Be sure to check out the announcement for the full rules set. The first round of the Great Gurhalian Tournament is expected to start in January at Rainbow Beast S3.

Update: The official Japanese 360 site has been updated with more details pertaining to this new content. New information includes that the Halloween lobbies will be running for the same duration as the G. Colony GBR and that a new Photon Fortune table will be implemented, so that we will not be repeating the same charts from the year prior.
