Sega has scheduled two presentations regarding PSO2 during TGS 2011. A stream of the first is embedded below with a second to follow tomorrow. It lasts for a half hour and includes a new trailer! Also Magneto!

4gamer.net has published a new article detailing the character creation process for Phantasy Star Online 2. While the article has not been fully translated yet, a large number of screenshots are showcased in the article. These screenshots show off potential color schemes and sliders for adjusting various body parts such as the eyes, ears, arms, legs, and chest. The Japanese Phantasy Star Online 2 website has been updated recently to open a new section for those fortunate enough to access the game's upcoming alpha tests. Once logged in with their SEGA ID, a participant can download the client. Here is the current schedule of access dates and times:
Additionally, Sega has opened up a twitter account which can be found at this link. The developers ask that testers follow the twitter feed for timely updates regarding the alpha.

In this week's edition of the official Phantasy Star Online 2 Japanese newsletter, several new screenshots were released. These screenshots give us a glimpse of how the game's Unit system will work. Like Slot Units from Phantasy Star Online, Units will provide stat and gameplay bonuses. Also, Units will affect your character's appearance. Units can be attached to the arms, leg, and back.
