| When did you start PSO/PSU: | I didn't start playing the series until November 2006. I had just quit playing Resident Evil Outbreak and Monster Hunter, so I was kind of bored without an active MMO to play. My longtime acquaintance from REO told me that PSU was coming out. It's pretty challenging to get me interested in anything, so I held out as long as I could. I guess he tried hard enough as I gave in soon after, but I didn't get the 360 version like he wanted me to. First of all, I didn't have or want a 360, and I thought the PC / PS2 version was going to have a bigger population (lol). Shortly after I started playing, I realized that I had played PSO (GC version) briefly at a friend's house years before. |
| Favorite Class: | Melee suits me best. I guess I'm not patient or attentive to others enough to be a good techer, and I find range sort of boring. I always liked the idea of Wartecher though. I want to be able to do decent damage with hand-to-hand combat and still be able to heal if needed. Unfortunately, I think WT's stats are a little gimped, so I've ended up with Fortefighter as my main class. If I had have played PSO back in the day, I would have been a HUnewearl for obvious reasons. |
| Favorite Gamestyle: | I think I play a little too much for the social aspect. I mean, I have plenty of friends in real life, but friends come first before most things in the game. If I find something I kind of want, I'll give it up to a friend in a heartbeat if I think they want it more than me. I also like to shake things up. Grinding missions makes me bored, and I don't like to be controlled by hunting one particular thing. I'd rather visit a bunch of different places and let the rares come at random. |
| Favorite Enemy: | I don't think my love for Rappies is a secret. Afterall, I'm a member of the Rappy Rapture group. I like the other cute enemies too--Polty, Lapucha, Jaggo--, but I also like Grass Assassins. I'm not sure why, but they're fun to kill. I think they should open up some kind of stress-relief place, where people just kill Grass Assassins all day. I know I'd go. |
| Favorite Weapon: | Can never go wrong with some twin weapons. Twin claws, knuckles, and twin daggers are my top three picks. They have the best looking weapon styles and best photon arts, in my opinion. For specifics, my top three weapon styles are Fuka-Misaki, Gudda Skela, and Gizahi-zashi. I think appearance and power are equally important, so those three weapons have a nice balance for me. |
| Favorite Mag/PM: | I'm currently using the GH 490 model (he's a dog!). He's cute, but he's not very helpful in battle. If he hadn't have been such a pain to get, I'd switch him out for my old model. My old model was a GH 422, and I guess that would be my favorite. Her battle phrases are the best, and she does decent damage. Can't say she heals well though. |
| Best PSO/PSU Memory: | I think the 1UP event was the best time for me. I met a lot of cool people around then, and the event itself was really enjoyable. Instead of simply killing things, it gave players more to do in familiar areas, which was something I really needed at the time. Not to mention that it made rares that were impossible to find obtainable. In addition, I'm thankful for all the friends I've made and all of the wonderful memories they've given me, and there's room for plenty more. |
| Funniest PSO/PSU Memory: | There are too many funny moments to remember too. My friend Jarek used to have a quote in his profile that read, "If you ain't laughing, you ain't living," and that couldn't be more true. I like to surround myself with people that make me smile. That can be in the obvious sense (joking), or it can just be with how they are as people. Not that I like to make fun of them, but it makes me happy to understand others and how they live. I guess that's more so what makes me happy and not what makes me crack up though. |
| Why did you join PSOW: | I love message boards. I wanted to find a good community that went with my new online game (to post opinions and stay informed, build friendships, etc.), so I decided to try out the one on the official site first... After posting there for a while, I decided to try out PSO-World, and it was like going from a homeless shelter to a 5-star restaurant. |
| Best PSOW Memory: | I really have enjoyed all of it. There are a few things I've been unhappy with, but I wouldn't keep coming here if I didn't want to. It's nice to have a great resource like PSO-World on an MMO like PSU to help organize events, keep everyone informed, build friendships, get out rantings and frustrations, etc. |
| Comments: | This is like, "If you could say anything to PSO-World, what would you say?" I'm not sure I can very well because I'm so fickle at this sort of thing, but I guess I'd like to say thank you to all of my friends. Don't be afraid to get to know me to the people that don't know me, and "*shrugs*" to the people that don't like me. My future on PSU is uncertain with the whole "no update" thing, but I don't plan on leaving PSO-World anytime soon. Although I could write so much more here, I think that about does it. Thank you for shining the spotlight on me. |
