| When did you start PSO/PSU: | I don’t know when exactly I first played PSO, but it was back on the good ‘ol Gamecube. Diablo II was hugely popular at my school, and I had borrowed a copy of my mate and had been obsessed for about a week. Until my brother hired a copy of PSO EP 1&2. I hade never heard of this game, but my cousin was a huge fan and my bro thought of giving it a try. The best 3 days of gaming ever. It was fantastic, and I was sad to have to give it back. I tried going back to Diablo II, but it reminded me too much of PSO (the whole levelling up and gear finding thing) and I just couldn’t play it, or anything else for that matter. I had to have PSO. After a great deal of searching we finally found a copy (no easy feat mind you, No one down under knows what the hell PSO is). It was gaming bliss for about a year until most of our consoles and games got stolen. But we did manage to get another copy on Ebay a few weeks later, and the great times kept rolling.
If PSO was good, PSU had to be good (How wrong that statement is). I got it about a week after it was released in the states. It was no way near as good as PSO (But there no games that are better that PSO). But I still had some good times. Until the Expansion came out and that’s when I started to lose interest. AOI was one step forward and at least 100 steps backwards. I still play it today, but it’s more of a chore than fun. It’s my “Super bored, and don’t have anything else to play game”. But more often than not Garry’s mod takes that spot. |
| Favorite Class: | PSO: RaCast. Those dudes are freaking sweet. Whats cooler than being a massive robot dude. It was the first class I chose and I’m sticking with it. But I Don’t like the lack of Resta that androids have, so I usually use RaMarl’s. But RaCasts are still cooler.
PSU: Fortegunner. Its all about guns. I love my guns. And Fortegunner’s are the best at shooting guns. |
| Favorite Gamestyle: | Using guns, and talking about random junk the whole time. I never shut up. I don’t care if there are some things that need to die. I’m talking over here!
But if you want some real tactics, heres what I usually do. I usually stand right in front of the door, peppering the bad guys with bullets from either a Shotgun or Rifle. If the enemy get too close I just run through the door and they can’t get me. And when everything is weakened up I finish ‘em off with some Mechguns. But in PSU, the baddies can walk through doors, so I usually run around like a nutcase with Twin Handguns or a Shotgun, killing off the smaller enemies. But if it’s bigger than me, I get out the Rifle and pepper it with high level rifle bullets so it can never stand up. Also I like to look for little areas in the environment where the enemy gets stuck, so I can safely chew through ‘em with my rifles and laugh at them while they look stupid walking against a wall. |
| Favorite Enemy: | Favorite enemy? What? I hate all the little sodding bastards. The more bullets in them the better. This section is now called most hated enemy:
PSO: Pretty much everything on Episode 2. Cheap little bastards. And those lizards in Episode 4. How dare you be immune to bullets! Son of a BITCH!
Actually I do have a favourite enemy and that’s the Gillchic. They are like crazy robot zombies. Knock them down and they freakishly rise up and keep going. Love that! But they do have the super annoying “addictive laser”. If one fires it, they all have to do it.
PSU: I bloody well hate those little two legged ankle biters that are in every bloody mission. They boil my piss. Get out of my way you little fuck farts and get me something worth killing. |
| Favorite Weapon: | Guns! Guns! Guns! Guns! Baby! I’m all about the guns. There is no point running around like a sucker with a 7 foot buster sword that makes you look like you’re compensating for something downstairs. When you can just stand around and make things die without them ever touching you.
PSO: I didn’t have that great of a selection of good rares in PSO, but I do remember loving the Varista (pretty sad isn’t it), Dispte its un rareness, it did look a treat. But I loved using my H&S 25 Justice a lot. I love the look and even just the name of those ‘ol faithful Mechguns.
PSU: It’s all about the Twin handguns. I love ‘em! Makes me feel like an action movie kinda guy. All I need is an ability to fire them while jumping sideways in slow motion. My favourite Twin handgun is the Arb Boa. Massive hand cannons! Yes Please! They even out perform all the other S rank twiners (that’s what I abbreviate Twin handguns to. Hey! Come on! I’m an Aussie, we abbreviate everything. It’s too bloody hot to say the whole word).
Nerf: That would be the Magstrike. The sheer shock and awe value one of those badboys can create is stunning. Empting its 10 round clip in under a second all with that fantastic sound that sounds like a real machine gun….oh wait of drifted off. Sorry about that. I’ve got Nerf on the brain (oddly enough, not alcohol). |
| Favorite Mag/PM: | Mag’s… I never gave a toss about Mag’s. They just sat there and I’d never feed them. It was like they where never there, I wish they would let me know when they where hungry. I know this may sound like heresy, but I’m glad there are none in PSU. I could never give a damm about them.
“Ooh is that a bonfire I see. Can I join in. its for me! Wow thanks guys…Get your bloody hands off me! I don’t want to go in it! You fanboys touch me again and you’l get BOPT!”
PM’s on the other hand. Well I actually did care enough to raise some. My favourite is the GH…er something or rather. That jester looking one with the fists. Those things Mess up anything that stands in their way! When I first had one it was annoying me because it was stealing all my kills. But as the difficutly increases its kill stealing decreases. But they luckily they just don’t fall over and die like most over PM’s do when they see a S2 enemy. “Hey is that thing level 80” *dead* |
| Best PSO/PSU Memory: | PSO: the first time I played was the best time. It was such an amazing game that hooked me in and has never let me go. Everything was just so sublime. I still get a warm and happy feeling when ever I drop down into the forest (And that’s not the booze taking effect there).
PSU: Again, all about my first time. I had been waiting for what seemed like an eternity (Earth time: 1 week). I was lunch time at Technical College, and I said to my mate: “I feel like popping home to see if PSU has arrived, if you don’t see me back you will know why”. And low and behold it was there in my mailbox. So I chucked it into my computer (well I didn’t chuck it, I’d just break the disk. No I placed it carefully into the disk tray) and played story mode for the rest of the day. And I was lovin’ it. |
| Funniest PSO/PSU Memory: | PSO: I have no funny anecdotes about PSO. So in its place I’ll tell you about the time my brother and I where playing Super Monkey ball. We where were playing the race mode and making an absolute earth shattering amount of noise. Yelling and making stupid noises. My dad went mental and got massively angry at us, but we kept laughing and having a good time. And then we played the baseball minigame and laughed so hard we almost died when ever the voice over guy said OOT! (Its supposed to be out, but he says OOT!).
PSU: I was playing linear line with some dude who didn’t know all that much about what he was doing, but I gave him a helping hand. Suddenly he said “I need to go out for a smoke”, and he just went AFK right in the middle of some bad dudes. But I managed to keep them off him and kill them all before he came back, and he never knew. |
| Why did you join PSOW: | I was looking for some PSO guides and PSO-world delivered in spades. But it was the preview sections about PSU that got me interested. Then I decided to join and keep up with all the PSU news on the forums. Even though I didn’t post anything, it was good to see little tidbits of PSU info. But my first post was in Fanworks many months later. I may have come for the PSU, but it was FKL that kept me here. |
| Best PSOW Memory: | If you asked me to tell me my favourite PSO-World memory, I wouldn’t. I’d list them all:
- HEY COUSIN epidemic.
It was the first time I joined into a FKL Skype chat, and I was having a jolly good time. That was until…ermmm…some dude (yeah that will cover it up) said HEY COUSIN in a perfect Niko Belic impression. From then on all hell broke loose. We couldn’t stop saying it. We couldn’t stop Posting it in FKL, we couldn’t talking in ridiculous Russian accents. 8 hours later everyone except me and Nai_calus where left, but I soon had to give in and have a shower. It was the longest time in one sitting I’ve been in font of a computer. I’m sure Ryna had a great time cleaning up FKL after that…not. Also during this chat, the same guy that said “Hey Cousin!” also told us about how he had a 12 ban from PSO-World, but he never even realised it because he was at a Rush Concert, And so started the 12 hour Rush concert meme.

It was during Deja’s reign of awesomeness, which was his PSU comic, what ever that was called. I thought to my self “hey! I can do better” so I started out my own PSU comic, which was no where near as popular as Deja’s, but I kept with it for 20 episodes, and a rather mediocre spin off series. I had a great time making those, even if no one liked them. The rise of PSU comics may have started with Deja, but I was the one who killed them.

Pubs Guns and Guardians may have gone by fairly unnoticed, but my next comic hit all the right buttons. The inspiration started with a very offensive and cruel thread against another member and the warning I got for it. Something crossed my mind, Law. Dhylec. Dhylaw! That’s a sweet idea! A buddy cop comic using my stikfas involving the exploits of PSO-World Moderators Dhylec and Hayabusa_FMW, cleaning up all the scum and corruption of FKL. It was a hit!

Sayara started a thread in FKL many a moon ago, in which one must post videos of them playing video games. I love posting stuff in there. But I haven’t posted anything in ages. Mainly due to the fact I haven’t bought any new and interesting games in ages. Also the fact I’ve now moved onto my Lets Play the Stalin Subway project. |
