US XBox Server Shutdown

As reported by PSO-World member Cranberry, the US XBox Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 servers appear to have been shutdown a week early. XBox players have been unable to login since the last maintenance period on April 22nd. It is currently unknown whether users will receive a pro-rated refund for this early shutoff, on top of the one that was planned to be payed back.

This just plain and simple sucks. They didn't warn anyone. They didn't stay true to their word. Just a week before they were going to officially turn them off and *BAM*, no more servers.

What sucks more is that I know there were a lot of people who wanted to do a last stand kind of thing like they did with Blue Burst. Now they won't get that chance. This is just plain mean.

This just proves two things:

A. Sega, Sonic Team and Microsoft don't care about the customers that made them what they are in the first place.

B. A hard disk of the online-only content just became the A1 best idea that will never be implemented, mostly due to A.

Just another link in a long chain of dissappiontments perpetrated by Sega and/or Sonic Team and/or Microsoft that cheats their customers out of the pleasure they'd otherwise receive by playing their games.
