Hell has frozen over. A month of Sundays have hit the calendar. The regional Phantasy Star Universe servers are receiving a massive content update on December 5th! Here is an overview of what we will be receiving:

  • Level Cap Increase - The Level Cap is being raised to 150.
  • New Lobbies - The Autumn Lobby on Guardian Colony and Moatoob Native Lobby will be activated. This will be the first time this particular Moatoob lobby has been released on the regional servers.
  • SEED Express - SEED Express C to S2 is being released.
  • Rare Mines Mission - Illusionary Shaft C to S, can be found on Parum.
  • New S2 variations - Scarred Planet, Lightning Beasts, and Electronic Brain will be receiving S2 variations.
  • Parum GBR - A new Parum-based Guardians Boost Road will start. The mission rotation will include Scarred Planet, Lightning Beasts, Electronic Brain, and SEED Express! The GBR will last until January 9th.
  • New Items - As can be expected from the release of a large number of S2 missions, dozens of new S-Rank weapons, line shields, and boards will be released!

It certainly has been a long time since we received a content update of this size. You can share you reaction in our on-going forum thread.

Update: Autumn Leaves is available from the Variety Shop.  There was also a Casino rotation after this maintenance.  The seasonal decoration as well as the lobbies will be up until December 18th.

Ambition of the Illuminus

As of now, AOTI has dropped from 1600 down to 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace.  For anyone on the 360 that hasn't yet experienced the additions the expansion offers, this would be a great time to jump in!

Remember that you need a copy of the original Phantasy Star Universe to play the 360 version of the expansion.  Please also note that it does not add any additional content to the offline modes (only Network Mode).

Update: The English press release has been posted here

Mission Spotlight for September 30th through October 9th
By S-T-H at 09/30/2008 - 4:17pm
Ambition of the Illuminus

The most recently announced Mission Spotlight is taking place in the Il Cabo Base lobby on Moatoob.  It of course features the newest mission (Bladed Legacy).  There are in game prizes this time around such as extra Casino Voloyal Coins and rare items.

There is another significant difference this time as they will be listing winners on the Mission Spotlight page.  It also appears they are allowing community groups to get involved as well. By participating, they'll get a mention on the page too.

As usual, the GMs will be selecting players at random from Universes 1 and 2 on Xbox 360 as well as Universe 2 on PS2/PC.

By EspioKaos at 08/05/2008 - 10:06pm
Ambition of the Illuminus

Congratulations, Guardians! We have just reached and surpassed the 200 million kill milestone of Maximum Attack G, earning all event participants a Sange! Details on when the item will be distributed will be released following the close of the event. But, remember! In order to be eligible to receive this saber, you must have completed at least one run of the event mission, "Maximum Attack G."

Now that all milestones have been unlocked, let's keep up the pace and see how many more monster kills we can rack up!

180 Million Kill Milestone Reached
By Ryna at 08/02/2008 - 7:07pm
Ambition of the Illuminus

Congratulations everyone, we've reached the 180 million kill milestone for Maximum Attack G! The prize for this milestone is a 10% success rate increase for grinding. This will be useful for people who like to grind their weapons to high levels. This reward should be put into effect sometime after the current MAG event ends.

If you plan on taking advantage of this prize, now would be a good time to synth grinders. The synth rate increase reward from the previous Maximum Attack G gives better odds of a high-level grinder appearing! So stock up now and save them for the grind bonus.

Now let's press on toward the final kill milestone! The elusive Sange awaits!

Ambition of the Illuminus

After a several week hiatus, Maximum Attack G has returned to the local servers! Slated to run for the next three weeks, players will have the opportunity to finally reach the 200 million kill count milestone. In addition, the official event website has been made public. As was previously announced, the kill and time attack ranking boards have been reset. Players will now be able to compete for the Spread Needle/G and Medal prizes on an equal footing, unencumbered by the problems fround in the original event. Characters that earned a reward during the first event will also be able to compete on the new boards.

You can discuss this event in our Phantasy Star Universe forum. Let's aim to reach the 200 million milestone!

From July 17 through July 24, "The Egg Thieves" at the Holtes GUARDIANS Branch will be the official hotspot. Also, note that with this spotlight, a new schedule has been implemented for the recurring GM event. From now on, all Mission Spotlights will follow the regular server maintenance schedule, instead of beginning on Monday and running through Sunday.
