 The new Team Quest, Point of Disaster, has been uploaded for US/EU Blue Burst players. This is a timed quest that features a boss that cannot be accessed through any other quest. We have put together a guide to help out anyone that is having trouble with this quest. It can be found here. If you have any questions, please post in our forums.
Also, please remember that the Halloween decorations will be taken down on the 26th. If you haven't got your Jack-O'-Lantern yet, you'll have to hurry!
EDIT: The Christmas decorations are set to go up at the end of this month. St. Rappies will appear at this time and you will be able to obtain a new set of mag cells!

The Episode 4 Team quest that was set to be released on Friday has been delayed until the 24th. Apparently some problems were encountered while testing the quest and they need to be resolved before it can be released. You can read the official news post here. In the meantime, if your team hasn't accumulated 3000 points, now would be a good time to earn them. If you would like to see what this quest will have like, have a look at this guide. Please note that the East and West Tower quests are still slated to be released on the 11th.

Since there seemed to be a lot of confusion surrounding the droprate change, Clumsyorchid clarified a few things in this thread at psobb.com.
1. The droprate change will only take place after the Yahoo Cup ends and will run for one month.
2. The change will only take effect if you are playing a government or guild counter quest.

 On July 30th, Sega of Japan sent out notices to Japanese players advising them to immediately change their passwords. This was done in response to the apparent malicious activities of unnamed third-parties. If players do not change their passwords, these parties could login to vulnerable accounts to remove items and delete characters. Also, ISAO has taken steps to hide billing details and prevent unauthorized account changes. This warning only applies to the Japanese servers. You can read additional details in this forum thread.

 The finals for the Phashion Group's Top Idol contest has begun. Each of the finalists have survived a grueling selection process to reach the finals. Be sure to carefully evaluate each of the finalists and vote for the person that you find to be the most fashionable. Once the polling period ends on August 2nd, the winner will be crowned "Gurhal's Top Idol."

From November 7th to 13th, SEED Awakened will be in the Mission Spotlight for the PC/PS2 and Xbox 360 servers. This mission takes place on Hive and features Dulk Fakis as the boss. In addition, players will have the opportunity to win official prizes from Game Masters and in-game items from this week's sponsoring groups.

To celebrate the second anniversary of the release of Phantasy Star Universe in Japan, Sonic Team is sponsoring the second annual Thanks Festa event. Scheduled to run from August 21 to September 25th, this Japanese event will include several new missions and GM events. Also, the event webpage has been opened to the public. Unlike most event websites, this one includes a special report section. You can use it to view listings for the most popular classes, races, and Partner Machinery.
Based on the timeline for last year's event, it is expected the regional servers will receive this event sometime in early 2009.

For the past week, a large number of Phantasy Star Universe users have been experiencing problems with renewing their accounts. This has created considerable tension since they are unable to play through the Maximum Attack G event or contend for the kill count prizes. ChillAura announced today that Sega is working on resolving the problem. However, the process it taking a long time since it is a programming issue. The GM team is currently having discussions with Sonic Team about compensating users that are affected by this problem.
