 serendipity writes, "It seems that Sega and Sonic Team said that enough was enough to all of the hackers that try the God/Equip and Bypass codes. The servers are now issuing PERMANENT Ban's for anyone using codes online. Apparently they were tired of playing games with continually patching Barubary's Bypass patch, and as a result many CCC users are left with what appears to be a no win situation, unless they buy another game disk." Thanks to everyone on the boards also, all I can say is about time! Don't worry if you just use xploder to boot it up, they can't detect it since it doesn't save anything at all into the memory.

 Locarno writes, "About 10 minutes ago, I recieved an email from sega tech. support asking when PSO is coming out; September 11th or 25th. Here's what they said: "Yes the official new tentative release date for Phantasy Star Online V. 2.0 is now 9-25-01." Well, the good news is that it's still coming and that you can still level up to 100 if your not. Bad news, obviously, is that the people who have been patiently waiting (I'm one of them) for the official USA PSO Ver. 2 will have to wait 14 days longer :(. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I wanted to get the real answer." Apparently, its confirmed... if we had some more sources that would be great too, just add them under comments please. ^_^

I found out about this on the Phantasy Star Discussion Board, and further looked into it on the forums at CMGSCCC. Indeed, cheating online no longer works. Trying to log on with codes running results in a "cheat device detected" message. Good news for us, eh?" Well I'm sure that they made a little progress, but I'm going to bet that they will find away around it. Sorry to spoil the moment, but for now... you can play in safety.

2Xtreme writes, "CMGSCCC has released their new "stealth codes." They come with a long list of dirrections on how to use them and appear very complicated. Here is what CMGSCCC had to say: "This game is very tedious & Sonic Team's RcvProgramPatch function didnt make it any easier. So we release these codes as a message to Sonic Team. Basically, the message is: "Byte me". We have been nice up til now, helped secured holes in your server, yet you refuse to live and let die. We wonder how long it will take you to break this method now." They also said they will be releasing a version of PK that Sega hasn't banned yet. It apparently uses very high MST to PK, not the previously used very low MST. " Thanks 2Xtreme, hopefully, SEGA will know whats going on and find a way to patch the cheats once again. Hopefully... the won't delay the US released to put new patches in again... :/

This is a major error in SEGA's manual for PSOv2... (US version). Apparently http://www.dricas.com/pso/signup_top.html does not work properly. The following address, https://www.dricas.com/pso/signup_top.html works, the "s" added says its going to a secure site. I don't know who found this out first, but thanks Jazzyfox for finding this info out! Now go have some fun! ^_^

I'm sure you all know about the incidents that have happened today. Let us pray for the friends and family of people involved with this horrible tragedy. Let us also pray for the president of the United States, George Bush, pray that he makes smart decisions and will ensure the saftey of not just the US people, but for any other people in other countries also. In all of this, we must all join together to show these terrorists that we won't let this slide by, and will join together to do what is just and what deserves to be done. Continue to show your support for peace, and if we take some action, that it be for the best and not for our own blood thirsty revenge. On a side note... feel free to discuss the events in the forums. Please limit flaming and racial attacks on ANYONE, for we must not jump to conclusions. Give your regards to those who could be very well horrified, depressed, or confused. This is a very serious time, please show your support for those in need. Thank you and God bless.

I finally got a hold of a real rep from sega on the phone (the way you do this is when the voice comes on after you dialed, press 1. wait for the voice again, then press 1. wait again, press 2. After that, wait for voice, then press 1. then, wait again, and press 2. Then wait). He said that there was a big hiccup in the online server and it has crashed. After they fix it, the hunter's licenses that didn't make it online will be terminated then you'll have to redo them. Those lucky few who can get online still can, but the rest will just have to wait till they fix the cash server. Basically, Phantasy Star Online Ver.2 is mostly mostly offline for all except the lucky few, he did not give an estimated time when it would be fixed." This could provide some relief for those who STILL cannot get online. All you can do is wait!
