jazzyfox writes, "I got pointed over to this on the mamak site and found a really interesting piece, that makes me have a little more good intentions towards Sega of America. The most interesting part of the article is the second paragraph: "Sega of America decided to try and work out payment options that would be considerably cheaper than what the Japanese pay currently for PSO ver2. They went with their options back to Sega of Japan who had set up the US pay structure, the exact same as Japan, 400 Yen for 30 days, or 1,000 Yen for 90 days. Sega of America went with having the US pay $10 for six months, and Sega of Japan just about went nuts, so now, they are still going back and fourth." "

duke_lion writes, "Due to hackers that were to impatient to wait for the time released items online for Version 2, 32 or more of the new rares are now banned from online use. If anybody attempts to use these banned items online, a one day ban on them will be put in effect. Hopefully, however, these items will no longer be banned after they have been released online."

Cube writes, ""The real deal." Sources close to Sega Europe have indicated that Sonic Team's incredible online RPG is to be announced by Sega for Gamecube next week! "
This article is more news from the rumor mill. PSOW staff members Mistkerl Zwo and myself will be attending E3, so expect updates and pictures regarding all things PSO (v2 and more..) on a regular basis during E3 time. ;)

JediDeamon writes, "An interview with Peter Moore on the future of the Dreamcast can be read here."
An interesting interview, nonetheless. It also answers the question as to whether or not PSO ver 2 is still going to be released in America and the answer is still yes.

Barubary writes, "There is a major bug in PSO version 2... If you ever played the US PSO version 1 on your Dreamcast, and do not have a legitimate Japanese version 1 serial number, you will NOT be able to get online with version 2."

In other news ... Random blocks of our favorite ships are vanishing today. Unannounced by Sega, Puck 09 seems to have vanished off of the Ship selection screen as well as various other blocks on other ships. ::sigh:: Is this random server maintenance or crashes? I have no clue. Where will we go in the mean time? Is this the end of the World? Are we all going to die? We're all going to die!
Hold me. > Everybody
**UPDATE** I should have updated this sooner, but all was restored last night around 6:30pm-7:30pm PST or so.

There is a Network Trial Edition of PSO available for the PC now. However, you may not save and you may not return to Pioneer 2. You are also disconnected after a certain period of time.
If all this is fine for you, it is available for download by clicking here.

It seems some people believe Puck 9 isn't what it used to be. Complaining of extreme amounts of cheaters, hackers, PKers, CKers, and lobby scum, numerous requests to move PSOW's offical block have been made. So, we've created an offical poll which you can vote and leave a comment on the whole situation to the upper-right.
Update: It has been brought to our attention that Ariel 6 is indeed a block which another clan belongs to, although it was completely empty the couple of times checked. Anyway, don't bother voting for this choice, as you will be throwing your vote away because it will not be chosen. I'd remove the option, but the vote counter will be reset and comments lost.

Phantasy_X writes, "I was just up at my local Software Etc,. when I found out ... They checked their computers and PSO ver. 2 US has been delayed until August 16th!"
Draekkan has also called his local Gamestop and they reported the same date. I can confirm this as well as Nyte called our local Software Etc,. and they reported a release date of August 16th as well. Strangely, the local EB here reports a release date of July 12th.
Update, 6/20/2001: Sega now reports the release date as "TBD". Simply meaning, there is no known release date at the time. Click here for a report from IGN.
