Overview
Phantasy Star 0 is a new Action-RPG game for the Nintendo DS with a December 25, 2008 Japanese release date. It is intended as a 'new beginning' with inspiration from the Phantasy Star Online series. At the moment, details about this game are very scarce. We know that it will feature a Story and Online mode. Also, the story will be set on Earth and Moon. Listed below are the details we've learned so far.

Rayburn City

Combat System
Like other recent Phantasy Star games, this game will use a real-time based combat system. Action will on the top portion of the screen while the bottom features a map, HP/PP bars, and lifebars for your teammates. According to magazine translations, combat will include a chaining mechanism. So far, only Rayburn and the Rappy has been revealed as enemies.

Chat System
Using the DS's stylus, players will be able to write text in 'Chat' mode and display drawings using the 'Symbol' functionality. Based on the pictures that have been released so far, elaborate symbol chats will be possible.
