Reenee's Forest Enemy Guide
Booma, Gobooma, Gigobooma

Bear-like animals who just mindlessly go head-on towards you.

Hunters: In Normal Mode, you can get away with slicing them up with a Saber or Dagger right in front of them without getting hit by them. In Hard, and Very Hard, however, you'll want to hit them from the side, especially with Goboomas and Gigoboomas since they'll interrupt your attacks, mid-combo. Online, when they're in groups, deal with them with a Sword or Partisan.

Rangers: Easy for them, in every difficulty. Since you're dealing with them at a long range, just shoot them down. It'll take just a teensy while in Hard and Very Hard as you start out, but you'll get stronger.

Forces: In Normal, you might get the unlucky chance that you'll have to be stuck with Foie for a long time. Don't worry, though, since this is just the beginning of the game. Foie's real slow, but you can take them down pretty easily. Boomas are weak versus Foie, Gobooma's weak with Zonde, and Gigobooma's weakness is Barta. You're going to end up moving around a bit in Hard and Very Hard, where you'll be encouraged to use Gizonde...a few times.

Rag Rappy, Al Rappy

Plump birds that fall from the sky and sit idly until you are close.

Hunters: In every difficulty, you'll want to time things right with a weak-strong-strong attack combo. If you do it right, you'll continuously push back the Rappy, never giving it time to attack. It always pecks at you, and it leaves itself open while doing so. If you want to get its items, you might want to either stay nearby it or use a Handgun.

Rangers: Again, you get it easy here. In fact, if you just want to skip fighting Rappies, hit them from a distance to make them run away. If you're quick, you can hit them again to get their item. Follow the Hunter tactic to deal with a Rappy.

Forces: Foie will take down the Rag and Al Rappies. Just fire Foie and you'll always stun it. Rappies will never be a big threat to you.

Savage Wolf, Barbarous Wolf

Savage, wild dogs found in the wild. Usually found in packs.

Hunters: The wolves will give you slight trouble since they're rather evasive. You must keep them tracked down to nail a hit. It's best that you hit them in their prowling paths. But look out for the other wolves! You'll probably get knocked down a couple of times, so get the Barbarous Wolf first, as it is the leader, and killing it will demoralize the group into casting Jellen and Zalure (even if there is another Barbarous Wolf present).

Rangers: Same with Hunters: you'll probably miss sometimes, so use a Rifle instead to stay at a distance and pick them off safely.

Forces: You'll end up dealing with two elements: Zonde works on the Barbarous Wolf while the Savage Wolves burn up with Foie, but even reversing the elements mentioned work well sometimes. You'll probably have the most trouble with them in Normal Mode, but be thankful you won't deal with anything like them later on...until you enter VR Temple or Hard Mode Forest. =3

Monest, Mothmant

The Monest is a hive for spawning Mothmants. The Mothmants attack you while the Monest spawns more Mothmants.

Hunters: Sure, the Moths' will go down in one hit in Normal Mode, but they get a gigantic HP boost in Hard Mode, so grab your Partisan. Yes, you can use a Sword, but it's best that you have accuracy to at least hit the Moths. As for the Monest, try a Dagger.

Rangers: Same like the Hunter strategy. Use a Shot in Hard Mode and later, or a Partisan if you nab one.

Forces: The Monest and Mothmants are weak versus Zonde. In Normal Mode, just club the Moths and Foie the nest (it seems that Zonde is a bit weak in Normal). In Hard Mode and later, you are encouraged to use Gizonde.

Hildebear, Hildeblue

Hulking gorilla monster-animals that can punch, fire a spell, and do a damaging jump smash.

Hunters: Use only a Saber, a Dagger, or a Handgun. If you're going melee, go for the Hildebear's side so it is provoked to attack. Hit it then with a Weak-Strong attack and repeat. If you're using a Handgun, just fire it from anywhere and back away. DO NOT go from it at a far distance. It'll only make it jump towards you (or, more likely, ON you).

Rangers: Grab a Handgun or Rifle and take it down from a distance. Feel free to use the Hunter strategy. Again, don't go to far from it.

Forces: The Hildebear is weak against Barta, but Zonde will also be required. Fire Barta from its sides, but take note of something: if the Hildebear is hit, and it stops in place, then go at a certain distance and keep firing Barta in front of it since you'll be given enough time to just hit it in front. If it doesn't get stunned, continue hitting it from its sides. Use Zonde if you need to buy yourself some times. Oh yeah, and the Hildeblue is weak versus Foie. Do the same thing with him...if you ever see one. =3
