Sabers can hit only one enemy at a time, but they have a good mix of accuracy and power. But its short range will leave you defenseless at times. Just make sure have plenty of healing items or a high level Resta.

Swords have great power but at the expense of accuracy. But their wide attack range can keep a bunch of enemies at bay. The best way to use unless a group of enemies is facing AWAY from you is to use a two hit Normal-Strong attack combo.

Partisans are similar to swords, just replace the greatest power with greater accuracy and you get the idea what I'm talking about. They're similar to swords with their wide attack range though and with their greater accuracy you can complete three hit combos without getting hit.

Daggers have low attack power but they're able to hit an enemy two strikes per attack and six strikes per combo. They also have decent accuracy too. But alas, like the saber, its short attack range will leave you defenseless at times. So what a good idea is to start the first part of the combo then use the remaining strikes to hit the enemy.

Slicers can hit multiple enemies at a time by zigzagging between them using its long-range photon blade. They have lower accuracy and power but the ability to strike multiple enemies long-range is priceless.
