Ep 3 Quest FAQ
How do I access the offline storymode quest?
Check this guide
Do you have maps or walkthroughs?
Yes, look here for Hunter quests and Arkz quest. The guides also have detailed information on each quest.
How do I prepare for a quest?

First know the name of the quest you're about to do, then look up the walkthrough for the quests. We have Arkz and Hunter walkthroughs.

Then, in the walkthrough, be sure to check :

  1. Who you can select to play as
  2. The rules
  3. Prerequisites
  4. If you have a teammate or not, their stats and their deck
  5. Opponent, their stats and opponent's deck
  6. Map. Be sure to take note of obstacles like rocks and barriers, or elements like traps and teleporters.
  7. Who to use to view the cutscene. You can look at a master list as well.
  8. If this mission will clear the current tier you're on. Look either in the Arkz and Hunter walkthroughs or in the flowchart.
  9. If you're fighting a boss, look at their stats and decks.

Take all these things into consideration. Choose a story character based upon these factors. Then build your deck based on the map and the decks of your opponents.

Use map elements to your advantage. You cannot pass through rocks and so you have to walk around them. Take this into consideration. Certain weapon like slicers are good to have to work around rocks and still have your opponent in range. You can use rocks to your advantage when fighting enemy cards by using the rocks as a shield.

On some maps, you will notice warps/teleporters. Teleporters will move your story character back and forth between each other. Use them to your advantage to move throughout the board and to get to your opponent faster in a big board. Also, controlling these warps can be a huge advantage especially if you are an Arkz with enemy cards. Send your summoned enemies through the warps to reach your opponent. Block off the warps using your summoned enemies and it will help you trap your opponent in one spot.

Don't rely on your teammate to get you out of a jam or do all the work for you.

There are traps on the battlefield?
Yes look at the Traps Guide
How come some quest disappears after I play certain ones?

Some quests will push you along to the next tier if you beat it even if you haven't beaten the sub/other quests in the same tier. So make sure to play the sub quests first or you will miss out on these quests. Check our Hunter quests and Arkz quest guides to make sure. If it says "Ends Tier: Yes", this means that beating this quest will move you on from the current tier and the other subquests on the same tier will disappear. So play the "Ends Tier: No" quests first.

This quest does not move you on to the next tier (Ends Tier: no). While this quest does (Ends Tier: Yes)

Tiers?
Yes, there is a tier system to the quests.Check the Hunter quests and Arkz quest guides. You will see that there are quests named with Main 1-1 or Sub 8-2 at the beginning of the name. Quests with Main's in their names are main quests and quest with Sub's in their names are sub quests. Main 1-1 means that the particular quest is main quest 1 of tier 1. Sub 8-2 means that the particular quest is sub quest 2 of tier 8.
Cutscenes?
For some of the quests, there are cutscenes that you can watch after you beat it if you are using the right characters. Check this guide or the Hunter quests and Arkz quest guides for more information. For example this quest will show a cutscene for all characters, so you can use any characters to view it. This quest however requires that you play as Break to view the cutscene.
There are different quest types?

I can get cards from beating certain quests?

How come I don't get the quests that you have guides for?

If you want to play all the quests on one given side, you will have to replay the quests all over again after you beat them.
Are there bosses?

How do I unlock the offline multiplayer quests?
Multiplayer Quest 1 - Beat quest 5-1 (either Hunter or Arkz)
Multiplayer Quest 2 - Beat quest 16-2(either Hunter or Arkz)
Multiplayer Quest 1 - Beat completely (either Hunter or Arkz)
How many times do I have to play each side to get the full storyline?
Only have to play the quests twice on each side to get the entire storyline. The final cutscene can be seen by losing the last battle and picking another of the main characters, but that's nitpicky.
Sometimes, my team mate will rush in to save me or my opponent's will team up together, how does this happen?
This is when a pair of team mates perform a combo, either a defense or an attack combo. These combo events are random. Look at the Attack And Defense Combo Chances Guide to look at the % rate of this happening.
Can I replay the quests as many times as I want?
Yes, one you beat one side, you can replay that side again. And you can do this as many times as you want. But each time you replay it with the same character, the Exp you get from the quest will decrease.
How do I download quests?
Check the Download Quest Guide
Where do they get stored?
When you go to save the quest, it will ask what card to save it on. The quests takes up 3 blocks each on your card. You can store your download quests on a different card than the one your Ep 3 game is on.
