Quest: | Government Quest 9-6: The Chosen (2/2) |
Description: | Find Rupika and protect her. |
Client: | Principal |
Reward: | None |
Prerequisites: | Government Quest 9-5: The Chosen (1/2) |
Overview: | This level takes place on the second Subterranean Desert levels and is one of the shortest Episode 4 quests. Many people have trouble with this quest though because of the intricate barrier maze in the middle of the level. Shortly after starting the level, you will encounter Ash. Be sure to talk to him. To successfully clear the barrier maze, follow the directions in the walkthrough. After going through the first portion of the barrier maze, you will come across a room with a locked door. If you would like to skip clearing a couple of rooms, say "heaven" and the door will be unlocked. Otherwise, head east and talk to Karen. She will reveal the "heaven" password for the door. If you have proceeded through the level quickly enough, there will be a short scene showing Kireek and Sue hiding Rupika. Once the second portion of the barrier maze has been cleared, you will need to journey through two more rooms and then talk to Montague. Enter the barrier maze for the final time to get to the last room. Make sure you are well-stocked on supplies before entering the final room since you will be unable to set a telepipe. When all of the enemies in the last room have been eliminated, talk to Bernie. You will then be warped back to Pioneer 2. This guide will assume that you want to bypass talking to Karen. |
Maps |
About These Maps On the maps below, the path the player should take is denoted by a red line. Doors and laser fences that are opened by pressing a button are also marked. Please note that switches are represented with circles and fences/doors with ellipsoids. Colors are used to indicate which switch opens which door/fence. Doors/fences that are opened as a result of clearing the room of enemies are not marked. Since it would be impractical to label every single box, a green box is used to denote a group of boxes. Finally, traps, including damage, confuse, slow, and shock, are denoted using a generic Damage Trap icon. Like the box icon, a single trap icon may denote multple traps. |
