Phantasy Star Zero: Level 100 Stat Planning Guide

Overview

The goal of this guide is to provide players with information for planning Mags and Materials strategies for level 100 characters. This information will include the base level 100 stats for each character type, material limits, and how Mags/Materials influence player stats. One important thing to remember is that unlike Phantasy Star Online, the character types in Phantasy Star Zero have NO maximum stats. This gives players extra flexibility when it comes to customizing their characters.

Level 100 Base Stats

These are the stats a character will have at level 100 without consuming any materials or using a Mag.

Stat Overview

The following tables provides an explanation of each of the stats from the previous chart.

Name Effect
HP HP corresponds to the amount of damage your character can take before he/she is incapacitated.
PP Photon points are consumed when using photon arts and techniques.
ATP ATP determines how much damage a ranged or melee attack will do.
DFP DFP decreases the amount of damage received from enemy attacks.
ATA ATA influences whether a ranged or melee attack will hit an enemy.
EVP EVP is used to calculate whether or not a ranged or melee attack will hit your character.
MST MST determines how much damage a techinique will do.

Materials

Materials are items that generally increase a character's stat by a certain amount. They can be purchased from secret Photon Collector shop and found from boxes. Each race has a limit on the number of mats it can use. Newmans and Casts are can to use up to 80 materials. Humans may use up to 100 materials.

Name Effect
HP Material Increases HP by 2
PP Material Increases PP by 2
Power Material Increases ATP by 1
Guard Material Increases DFP by 1
Hit Material Increases ATA by 1
Swift Material Increases EVP by 1
Mind Material Increases MST by 1
Reset Material Resets a character's material usage. The stat boosts from all consumed materials will be removed and the material counter set to zero. Useful if you want to experiment with a different character build.

Mag Stats

Another way to increase your character's stats is by raising and equipping a Mag. Increasing a Mag's level by one will increase your character's corresponding trait by one when the Mag is equipped. For example, if your Mag has 50 Power and 50 Accuracy, your character's ATP and ATA will each increase by 50. Here is an overview of the four Mag stats:

Name Effect
Power Each Power level corresponds to a +1 ATP increase.
Guard Each Guard level corresponds to a +1 DFP increase.
Hit Each Hit level corresponds to a +1 ATA increase.
Mind Each Mind level corresponds to a +1 MST increase.

Balancing It All Out

Based on the way the damage formula works, it is better to use Power/Mind/Guard Materials on your character than rely on Mag increases. The Hit stat is better off as a Mag stat.

When you are planning a Mag and material setup, be sure it'll compliment your playing style. If you find that your setup is not work, simply buy a new Mag and use a Reset Material to start over.
