    I GUARDIAN Basic info
    A) Class/Race

Now, classes and races are where, ultimately you begin. You have to begin by picking a race, and arranging them however you like. That's probably the simplest thing you'll need to ever do on this game. The Races are as follows:

    Human-

They're only human, what do you want? Balanced stats, most predominant race in the Gurhal system, so on and so forth. Generally, it is accepted that Humans run/own the GUARDIANS colony, but they have a hand in everything! Story characters that are human: Ethan Waber, Hyuga Ryght, Kou Taragi, and any other random Human.

Advantages-None really, except balance. And Crea.

Disadvantages- with balance comes no real advatage, that is the disadvantage.

    Newman

Newmans supposedly are a race among humans scientifically created. They own/run the planet Neudaiz. And because of that, they are physically weaker, but have great strength in the use of the TECHNICS. Deffinately a good choice for those who wish to play Force, or Ranger. Hunter notso much, but noone will care, really. BTW: The Yohmei shop in Neudaiz is supposedly the brand for forces. Almost all of their armor has the head slot, which is the slot that can be equipped with useful units.Story mode characters include: Karen Erra, and Maya Shidow, plus the divine maiden too.

    Advantages-Good strength TECHNICS.

Disadvantages - Notso good ATP, HP.

    Cast

Casts are Robots, and they own/run the planet Parum. They have a much Higher ATA, and generally make the best Rangers. They NO LONGER have the most HP of any class, unlike in PSO. But that doesn't hinder them from making effective Hunters either. But another diffrence from PSO is that Casts CAN BE A FORCE and use TECHNICS. I repeat for the sleepy one in the back, CASTS CAN BE A FORCE and use TECHNICS! But their TECHNIC power suffers severely. This race also gets the ability to use a SUV weapon at the level 20.Story characters include: Lucaim Nav, and Lou.

Advantages- can finally use TECHNICS! (yaaay) Great ATP, and make great match to Melee classes.

Disadvantages- No longer the king of HP. Limited flexibility as a Force, and they have a slightly lower ATP than Humans. Slightly.

    Beasts

Ah yes, the powerhouse race. This race has the most ATP of anyone, and the most HP. Only problem is, they have a slightly lower ATA, which means you may hit for a billion, but you'll miss a fair bit. (Not too noticably.) This race owns/runs the planet just opening today, Moatoob. This race also gets the ability to use a Nanoblast at 20. Story mode characters include: Leogini S. Berafort, Tonnio Rhima, and Liina Sukaya.

Advantages- Most ATP&HP, Nanoblast, bigggest ears.

Disadavatages- Slightly less ATA, and terrible TECHNIC useage.

With that all said and done, we move on to:

    CLASSES!

Classes are what defines what we do in a party. Classes define what weapons you can or cannot use.Classes can be switched at any time by going to the GUARDIAN'S HQ, 5th floor Cylez city, and speaking to the woman in the back of the counter. For every License issuance (AKA A Class change), a cost in Meseta is required. This amount changes. the higher you go, the more expensive it gets. Also, your stats change when you change jobs. Red means increase, blue means decrease in stats. Also, you get MPs for every mission you complete. Those MPs level your PM(when it accompanies you into battle at PM level 80+), and your current job, if it's not level 10. The classes are:

    HUNTER

The meat and potatoes job, for the most part. For those who just wanna wack things with a light stick, but are too lazy to pull a trigger. Hunters as a whole gain more HP, ATP, and DFP than any other class (so far.) And not much more can be said about them as an introduction.

    RANGER

Ranger. Or those who lack the urge to get in the face of danger, and would rather put a little bit more effort to exterminate it.(By pulling a trigger.) Rangers are specialists in Long-range weaponry. Their native stats focus around ATA (Accuracy) and EVP (Evasion).

    FORCE

The most beloved job to see on the field. Forces are the only (as of now) TECHNIC users, and that makes them invaluable to a party in more ways than one. They can cast Two types of TECHNICS (AS of now) Recovery, or Attack TECHNICS. Forces' stats focus primarily on Mind, and a balance between DFP and EVA. They do not by anyone's imagination have enough HP to last in a Hunter's type of Face-to-face smashfest. It is the responsibility for the Forces to watch out for the Hunters and the Rangers, as it is their duty to protect the forces at all times. The only sight that upsets me on the field personally, is a dead force.

With that, there have been incorporated new, 'Advanced' classes in addition to the basic classes.I will list here, and will add more information when I can.

    Fighgunner
    Wartecher
    Guntecher
    Fortefighter
    Fortegunner
    Fortetecher
    Protranser
    Acrofighter
    Acrotecher

    Moving along then:

    B) Your Room

This is your personal living space. The multi-colored squares on the floor of your room are spots that you can decorate with various decorations you will find on your travels. To set them, have the item in your inventory. (Check page five, just above the synthesis boards you might have.) And then move to the spot, and an option will pop up that is an X command on the PS2 that says: 'Set' hit that command and the menu to select which piece to lay will pop up. choose the piece you want and lay it down. You can pick up a piece of decoration by the same process. Your room also is a gateway to the System abroad. If you do not have an open shop, your Partner Machinery will be floating next to a bed and a table with a black pad on it. That black pad is a Vision Phone, and all of the options are rather self explanatory. Your Room also contains...

    C) Your Partner Machinery (PM)

Your PM is quite possibly your bestest friend that you will have on this game. Your PM can and will:

    -Store items or Meseta
    -Synthesize items for you
    -Store more things for you
-Run your shop while you are gone
    -Look cute
    -Let you change its' name
-Give you a partner card to invite it to parties when it hits level 80.
-Absorb a trillion meseta in failed Synthesis, Feeding it, succesful Synthesis, Running your shop, and anything else ST throws at it.

    D) Your Equipment/Items

Quite possibly one of the only reason some GUARDIANS do the work that they do. With the amount of rare items, boards, and other various things constantly being found, more and more GUARDIANS are venturing out into Gurhal. Here I will give you a breakdown of how your items work, and an overview of your weapons, armors, and how your items work with your Action Palette.

To being, your item screen can be reached by going into your menu, and selecting the second icon from the left, which looks like a little box. This is your item screen. When it pops up, you will see the first page of your item screen, which is your weapons. Then you can move through the various screens by moving left and right. Here's a listing for you on what each page contains:

    Page 1- Weapons
    Page 2- Armors/Attachments
    Page 3- Healing/boost items
    Page 4- Clothing
Page 5- Synthesis items, Boards, and Room decorations

Note- only Items on Pages 1 and 3 can be added to the action palette. Unless that gets changed.

When looking at an item, it will have one to three pages of information contained. On the first page, it tells you exactly what the item is, (Weapon, board, Armor, Healing item, ETC.) The only exception to this rule is synthesis items, which tell you absolutely anything. Except what they are used for, (Vageuly.) On Weapons there will be three pages which go as follows: First page contains ATP/ATA/MST requirments, stats on the weapon, and so-on. Second page contains what the weapon has for an action. (IE Most striking weapons will have attack at the bottom, and the equipped Photon Art information at the top, with numerical values (!!). And ranged weapons will have shot information on it, like PP consumption, elemental value, and what elemental value is with the weapon. While TECHNIC weapons will have two open slots on the second page. They will stay empty until equipped with a TECHNIC!!) And finally the Thrid page on an item contains information about the item, and a breif description.

    i) Weapon breakdown
The following is the breakdown of available weapons as of November 20th, 2006.

Each weapon profile will look like follows:

    (A) Sword- (B)3,Circular (C) Tornado Break (D)3 (E)9,3
    (F) Notes-

    A-Weapon type. (I.E what family.)
B-How many enemies it can hit with one swing, and method of attack, Circular, Linear, Fan, Unique.
C-Photon Arts that can be used by the weapon.
D-How many enemies can be hit by the Photon Art. (Before level 11/After level 11.)
E-How many enemies can be hit TOTAL by the end of the weapon's combo, and how many attacks are in a combo.
F-Notes section; if somthing needs to be further explained, and my personal thoughts on the weapon/description of the Photon Art in combat.

    Without further Adieu,

    Sword-3, Circular/ Tornado Break, 3/6 /9,3
Notes-This weapon is slow, but has quite a range and does great damage. Some of the newer ones from TENORA WORKS can hit around 1000 attack! Tornado Break is a Circular Photon Art, that hits three of the closest enemies. At level 11, it gets a boost to spin twice, as opposed to only once. Your character is stuck wherever you use this Photon art! Bewary of your surroundings!
    Knuckles-1, Linear/ Bogga Dangga 9/13 /4,4
Notes- My personal weapon of Choice, and quite unique. The Knuckles are very hard to employ in combat due to it's short reach, compared to sabers, swords and Polearms. They attack slower than daggers, but faster than sabers. And because of that, they have a lower ATP score. Bogga Dangga is a unique Photon Art, which starts off with three strikes, moving from left to right, back to the left. It gets and upgrade at 11, which adds a awesome backhand and a sweep that has a good knockback. Your character is NOT stuck whever you use the Photon Art, so you may move around as much as you need to to create as much Chaos as you are capable of!

    Polearm- 2, Linear/ Dus Daggas 4/10 / 6/3
Notes- The polearm is a good weapon for those transitioning from Knuckles, or sabers to Sword. IT has a slower attack speed than Sabers or Knuckles, or even daggers! but it has a lot more ATP than those weapons. The Photon Art Dus Daggas, is quite possibly, my most favorite Photon Art in the game. It starts out with a circular attack, and then with two upward stabs, and upgrades at 11 with three very deadly quick stabs. (Almost like the normal combo!)

    Dual Sabers-1, Linear/ Rising Crush ?/? / 6/6
Notes- My second most favorite weapon. This weapon has the ultimate crowd control Photon Art, and is the only weapon you could hit a diffrent enemy with each individual strike. Rising Crush is one of my favorite Photon Arts. It starts off with a rising-strike esque attack, but with two sabers. And after 11, it only gets deadlier. Instead of jumping to meet the attack, A-la Rising Strike, the character who uses it will swing both blades, at the same time to hit almost any enemy around you. This Photon Art is the biggest crowd-control Photon art of them all.

    Dual Dagger- 1, Unique/ ?? Shuren-zan 3/6 / 5/5
Notes-I must admit I have been remiss in my Dual-dagger useage. So I cannot quite talk about it, but from what I have witnessed, Dual Daggers is along with daggers one hell of a combo machine. The Photon Art is quite similar to Tornado Break. As soon as I work with the weapon more, I will come back to report my findings.

    Dagger- 1, Unique/ Buten-Shuren-Zan ?/? / 5/5
Notes- The Dagger family I have not worked with much. But this is my personal favorite out of the two. With the single Dagger, you can equip a handgun. The Photon Art at both stages is an amazing Photon Art. Before 11, it is a combo house involving flying kicks. After 11, it invloves a low-level attacking spin kick, much like the hasasuriken from Street Fighter (The tornado kick used by Ken, Ryu, Akuma, ETC.) followed with a crushing kick at the end that has knockback.

    Saber-1, Linear/ Rising Strike 4/6 / 3/3
Notes- The most basic weapon. Can be used in conjunction with a handgun to add versatility. One of my favorite weapons to use. The Photon Art, Rising strike is a great crowd control Photon Art. IT involves knocking two enemies into the air and, after 11, involves you jumping into the air to send those enemies crashing to the ground. An excellent weapon to be used by any class starting out.

    Rifle-1, Linear/ ??? Hits 1/1 / 3/3
Notes- Longest range of any weapon. Can be linked to a Photon art which adds Earth, fire, ice and Thunder Element bullets.

    Handgun-1, Linear / ??? Bullets 1/1 / 3/3
Notes- Shortest Range of any firearm. Can be linked to a Photon art which adds Earth, fire, ice and Thunder Element bullets.

    Shotgun-5, Fan/ ??? Shots 5/5 / 15/3
Notes- Hits the most enemies of any weapon. Can be linked to a Photon art which adds Earth, fire, ice and Thunder Element bullets.

    Dual Handgun- 2, Linear / ??? Hits 6/6 / 6/3
    Notes- Just like handgun x2.

    Machine gun- ? Linear / ??? fury ?/? / ?/?
Notes- Hits a freaking ton. Can be linked to a Photon art which adds Earth, fire, ice and Thunder Element bullets. Can also be used in conjunction with another one-handed weapon (Dagger/Saber)

    Bows- 1, Linear / ??? Hits 1/1 / 3/3
Notes- Good ranged weapon. Ranged weapon Useable by Forces. Can be linked to a Photon art which adds Earth, fire, ice and Thunder Element bullets.

I don't think I forgot anything, but I'm not mentioning Rods/Canes/ Other force weapons since they are a diffrent category almost altogether. That and they only Use TECHNICs.

    E) What to do next?

This concludes the introduction. Next I will include some information that is relevant to higher-level GUARDIANS. hope this section was good enough to get the begginners off. The next section will not be this easy. Until then GUARDIANS, I salute you.

Update in 3 days. Please tell me what I am doing right or wrong. Feel free to drop me a line in-game!

In your cast disadvantadges I think it should say casts have slightly lower ATP than beasts; not humans.

Will you also do a general overview of the hybrid classes and protrancer (or rather, a comparison).
    (just a thought )
